QB Risers: Five 2027 Prospects Ready to Explode this year

Today, we're going to be taking a look at five upcoming senior signal-callers who could end up bursting onto the scene in 2026. Each one of these players has shown exciting traits that should translate well over to the college level, and a few of these athletes could end up putting together All-Region-type seasons this year.    [player_tooltip player_id='1601625' first='Kyle' last='Lewis'] has been impressive this offseason at a plethora of different recruiting camps, most recently at Delaware and Ferrum. He has top-tier size and a strong arm, showing off the ability to fire balls out to receivers quickly in the short to intermediate levels of the field.   He's not going to outrun linebackers all day long, but he has enough speed and athleticism to make plays with his legs when things begin to break down or on designed runs. He has above-average arm strength and throws one of the best deep balls in the state, both stationary and on the move. The way he's able to operate and be successful on different designed boots and rollouts bodes incredibly well for his prospects at the collegiate level.   Lightridge's offense has a lot of next-level concepts in it when it comes to the passing game, and Working executes everything perfectly.   He's one of the most underrated quarterbacks in Virginia right now, and I'm incredibly confident that he's going to explode onto the scene as a senior in 2026.     I've had the opportunity to watch [player_tooltip player_id='1601615' first='Cale' last='Hamblin'] in person a couple of times, and he never disappoints. He has pretty good size and has great mechanics for a quarterback at William Monroe's level.   Hamblin doesn't have the strongest arm in the world, but when he needs to zip balls into tight windows on occasion, he can. He's also effective on designed runs, boot plays, and option plays as well, which is something that WMHS asks him to do quite a bit as well.   He's undoubtedly a fun player to watch, and hopefully, he'll earn a few offers this year.     [player_tooltip player_id='1964545' first='Tyler' last='Flint-Steinig'] is extremely under-recruited right now. He consistently shows above-average accuracy and has more than enough arm strength to get the job done.   "TFS" moves very well around the pocket as well, consistently showing off his ability to feel and slide away from pressure. He makes some beautiful throws off-platform when on the move, and he has some nice touch when it comes to throwing deep balls. He has a lot of zip to his throws, which is evident by his ability to fit balls into tight spaces more often than other prep-level quarterbacks in the area.   Neal has looked very impressive this year at different 7-on-7 events throughout the state, and he currently has FCS offers from Elon and Morgan State.
