Expert Analysis
Ed OBrien | Prep Redzone Scout
Neal completed 9 of 13 passes for 304 yards and three touchdowns in a 55-10 win over Medidan. That’s not all. He also carried the football nine times for 133 yards and three touchdowns. He’s a legit dual-threat for James Wood. He’s completed 79-of-109 passes for 1,739 yards, 18 touchdowns, and two interceptions. Neal has also carried the football 51 times for 496 yards and 16 touchdowns.

puts up video game numbers every week, and nobody’s been able to stop him yet. He had tons of hype heading into his senior season after impressing at a plethora of recruiting camps this summer, and so far he hasn’t disappointed.
He’s a threat to score on any snap both as a passer and runner, and he continues to be one of the most exciting offensive players to watch in 2026. Neal’s already scored over 20 total touchdowns this year and he’s had multiple 4+ touchdown games this season already.
Though he still isn’t getting as much recognition as he should be, Neal is without a doubt one of the top dual-threat QBs in the state of Virginia.

was spinning it last night, carving up Clark County’s defense for 318 passing yards. Neal had three touchdown passing and 1 on the ground, I’d say the top ranked senior looks motivated.

is an incredibly athletic, dual-threat quarterback who combined for over 3,500 yards and 42 touchdowns as a junior for JWHS. He has a lot of zip to his throws, which is evident by his ability to fit balls into tight spaces more often than other prep-level quarterbacks in the area.
Neal has looked very impressive this year at different 7-on-7 events throughout the state, and he currently has FCS offers from Elon and Morgan State. If he can put together another elite season as a senior in 2026, it wouldn’t be surprising at all to see him raking in some lower-level FBS offers.

Neal bumped up to 72nd overall and 10th for this group, he has had a stellar career for James Wood. An impressive touchdown to interception ratio a year ago, he should be getting more offers soon. Morgan State offered Neal last week too.

Owen displays a good arm with good accuracy and ball placement in his throws, especially on deep passes. He has the arm strength to zip the ball in tight windows and does not shy away from these throws. Shows solid athleticism and provides a dual-threat at QB for James Wood in designed QB run calls. I like what I see in Owen’s game, and he should not be ignored.
