Matt joined Prep Redzone in June 2026, bringing close to a decade's worth of sports journalism and scouting experience. He’s evaluated players for various media outlets such as SBNation.com, OnSi, FanSided, and Athlon Sports. His work is consistently featured on major platforms such as Bleacher Report and Yahoo Sports as well. Matt is also the founder of Trench IQ, a site devoted to scouting and evaluating collegiate offensive linemen for the NFL Draft. As a former player and current OL Coach for a local high school, he brings a wealth of recruiting experience and knowledge from both a player and coaching aspect at the prep level. Matt will be covering the state of Virginia for Prep Redzone.
