South Dakota 2028s That Could Be Camp Jumpers This Summer

Moving south to the Mount Rushmore State, we follow our lead of what we started in North Dakota with who could be our Camp Jumpers this summer from this intriguing 2028 class in South Dakota. From a few early D1 grades we have, to a couple of Sioux Falls Christian Chargers on our list, and more to find out as we preview to college camps!    Tanner is recent TE MVP at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase and our TE1 in the SD 2028 class yet from what I have heard from college coaches, they love the upside he could produce at the next-level as an EDGE rusher. He has the surefire hands to go up against traffic and win the 1v1 battles with the physicality and length he displays against his competition. What you see from Tanner off the EDGE, shows off an athlete that gets off very quickly with his hands and pummels down at the point of attack with that long reach that we were raving about at our Dakotas Showcase that has only continued to develop. Tanner should surely catch plenty of Division 1 radars this summer.   <a href="https://x.com/TWagner55" id="https://x.com/TWagner55">TWITTER</a>     David at the moment, is a 2028 South Dakota sleeper out of Freeman that I am fired up about out of this group. The 6'5 200 pounder brings constant big play ability as a pass-catcher especially on deep routes and is a very fluid route-runner for all that size. We know how the Dakotas have been on a tear for tight end at the Division 1 level recently, and the projections I get from college coaches on David paint a similar picture as one that could be next-up in that tight end group out of the Mount Rushmore State. David is also a sound improviser with his routes and is another one that hasn't posted a camp schedule, but man if I were a Division 1 school I would surely get this kid at camp soon this summer!     It's pretty evident that when college staffs come up to me at one of our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcases and ask me "who the heck is that kid?" that's a great sign for the future, as that was the case for [player_tooltip player_id='1601673' first='Addison' last='Peterson'] of Elk Point-Jefferson as a freshmen last year and the growth he's continued to make has me even more intrigued heading into summer. He's grown a fiery first step at 6'4 295 pounds as the physicality at the point of attack is as violent as you want to see on tape. As a pull-blocker is where I feel Addison causes the most destruction as you can feel the power he builts really quickly which is another reason why I have him as our OL1 in the 2028 SD class. Plenty of camp interest from D1s and D2s from across the Midwest and beyond, as he's one I would love to see where he ends up camping this summer.   <a href="https://x.com/AddisonPeterson" id="https://x.com/AddisonPeterson">TWITTER</a>     We have Jude rated as one of the best athletes in the 2028 SD class for good reason, as the live evals have been impressive and he only keeps getting more proficent on both sides of the ball for the Chargers. I love the range he has as a defensive back on tape as if I were a college coach I think the position flexibility would intrigue me most with Jude with where he could play in my secondary. The three-level skillsets that Jude brings to the table could also help out the return-game at the next-level as we've been tracking the growth he's made from a speed and agility perspective. He's one that I hope gets a lot fo action at Dakotas camps this summer.     If you haven't looked yet at Cooper's camp tape from the Augustana camp this weekend, you might want to look sooner rather than later, as Cooper is yet another Sioux Falls Christian Charger on our 2028 Camp Jumpers list in South Dakota. His ability to aggrevate the receivers routes early in press-man is what quickly stood out from his reps he had on Memorial Day. He's a pesky athlete in bump and run coverage as the persistency you will see with Cooper on his reps surely will translate to more attention from the next-level and in my eyes he might grade higher as a corner at the next-level.   <a href="https://x.com/CoopStrande1" id="https://x.com/CoopStrande1">TWITTER</a>     Dax is our LB2 in the 2028 SD class and is one of a few in this 2028 class from Sioux Falls Jefferson I would expect to get attention this summer at college camps. The 6'1 220 pound linebacker, gives you hard hitter you want at the linebacker position and that's not all. With that size, I am really impressed with how rangy Dax can be around the edges as it's hard to miss on this young man's motor he's continued to grow now heading into his soon-be junior year with the Cavaliers. He's going to surely be one I will be tracking at college camps this summer as one that could get into that early one to offer target list.
