Our new WR3 in the 2028 South Dakota class, is a small school prospect that not a lot of folks know about yet, as we introduce

from Freeman to the class. He’s the biggest bodied wide receiver we have in this class at 6’5 200 pounds, that even when corners give him a 8-10 yard cushion, he shows you right away on tape that he can blow by them on a go-route with ease and adjust to the throw on the fly. David has Big hands, big catch radius and those hands are strong in higher traffic areas. He’s one of the best 9-man prospects probably in the entire Dakotas in my eyes, and should surely get some eyes and attention of college coaches at camps this summer.

One of my favorite new names in this 2028 class at the wide receiver position is one that we have featured on site during the state championsihps, but now that his sophomore tape is live, I feel the floodgates could open quick on

of Freeman. The 6’5 200 pounder (!), is a dominate deep threat that I am pretty surprised is just a sophomore. He’s a springy route runnner for his size and has great deep ball hands that adjusts well on the fly to the throwing angle. He’s also a WR that in my mind if you are his WR, you know he’s “down there somewhere” and based on how David handles slightly higher traffic receptions downfield. He should be a top-tier wide receiver in this class once the 2028 South Dakota rankings come out soon.

Surely my favorite new find thus far in our late night tape session has been Freeman’s David Water who is a 6’5 200 pounder wide receiver that is just a sophomore. I had heard about this young man around state championship time, but had no idea he boosted those kind of legit measurables until coming across his recently posted tape tonight. You want to talk about a a BIG target with a big catch radius and great hands especially on deep routes. David’s hands also check the boxes in tight windows as he makes some of those receptions look routine on tape. He’s got some upside as a route-runner to keep brewing into his next two season, but man I can’t wait to get this young man on my 2028 wide receiver board in South Dakota.
