Representing northwestern Minnesota and Clay County, Hawley Nuggets' defensive back was one the biggest breakout stars from the 2025 Summer Camp Circuit, showing up and showing out at one of North Dakota's heavy-recommended Flagship Prospect Camps in eye-popping fashion. Coming in at 6'0.75", 172.4 lbs., Steer ran 4.63 and 4.64 40 (clocked by Isaac Fruechte), 30'5" triple broad, and 4.42 and 4.63 shuttle in an absolutely stacked DB group that day in Grand Forks. Seeing some of the DBs he was outworking and hanging with that day already earn and commit to D1 programs surely has me wondering when Steer's time will come, and whether he's being overlooked due to geography, or classism, or general exposure, it surely isn't because of the film.

The FS/WR/RB was a multi-phase dynamo with big-time coverage range from the defensive secondary who is generally a high-impact MOF defender. Very productive in 2025 as a junior, Steer flashed impressive ball skills, vertical, and 50/50 ball/contested catch ability, not to mention serious bounce, and PRZMN loves the obvious body control and balance when playing the ball in the air. Steer demonstrates loose hips, and he can play man coverage on the perimeter or out of the slot. Steer also owns burst and big-play ability as a wideout and can easily expose CBs on double moves. The speed, contact balance, acceleration, vision, and a toolbelt of moves in the open field help Steer act as a splash-play, game-breaking RB, and PRZMN especially loves the contact balance and strength for a back of his size and stature. Plus, he has a huge catch radius and strong hands that can securely pluck the ball out of the air and away from his body, and the junior was still creating game-changing individual efforts 3+ minutes into his highlight tape. All the pieces are here, college coaches! Just give the kid a chance.

A First Team All-Eye Test and All-Lobby Selection from Holy Angels, PRZMN still remembers the first time he saw the Jacobs twins, backdropped on a beautiful Lake Bemidji near-sunset at the Bemidji State War on the Shore Big School Team Camp. With rare physical size and tools to work with, Jacobs was on big-time "breakout watch" and was a kid whose film PRZMN was eagerly awaiting to devour, and now that we're nearing May, I'm surprised it hasn't paid off in more Division 1 attention. A big reason could be the lack of verified measurables and athletic data, as I couldn't get the Jacobs boys to any PRZMN Showcases and they didn't camp anywhere last summer to my knowledge, so as we near the summer, it may have to be up to their Summer Camp SZN performances to really bring in the cheddar.

On tape, though, the the 5T long, disruptive, and bendy presence on tape who closes quickly and was living in opponents' backfields in 2025. Jacobs' does a good job of readjusting and breaking down in space to make 1v1 tackles in the backfield, and he demonstrates a great get off and flies off the ball with pace. Jacobs' can pursue out to the sideline and shows some exciting overall play speed - plus the motor to boot - for his size, and he doesn't get tied up by OL at the LOS and can shed quickly and with intention. Plus, the 6'4 DE can run the hoop and bend the corner a bit. Pad level may be an issue, he is hopefully adding weight, strength, and pop in his punch to make more of an impact at initial contact, and could fine-tune his pass-rushing moves and strategy both pre-snap and mid-rep, but there is some can't-miss physical gifts and tools slapping you in the face on his junior tape, so PRZMN will be watching closely as we hurdle in the Summer Camp Circuit.

A Champlin Park transfer who comes highly-rated by 247Sports in their latest update of the state's rising senior rankings, Fitch no doubt had a big year with 6A semifinalist Minnetonka at the CB position. However, the momentum started earlier in the summer, as Fitch had a really strong showing at the Gophers camp last summer, going 9' broad and absolutely going crazy during 1v1s, playing press-man with lethal efficiency and balling out 1v1s against a loaded group of wideouts. Coming in at 5'10, Fitch saw a big-time 6A schedule and WR competition in 2025, where he primarily off-man, although PRZMN did see him press last summer at the Gophs, as we mentioned.

Fitch displays patient creep steps, and he reads & reacts and can stick & plant with explosiveness, with particular aggression and production when reading and playing three-step drops and quick game. Fitch demonstrates situational awareness, reading quick game, understanding splits, and predicting what routes he has a chance of seeing any given rep, and smoothly finds and stays in the WRs hip pocket, no matter the route. Plus, the DB is aggressive in run support and will come downhill and close on RBs with physical tackles with pace and speed - will meet WRs behind the LOS when defending screens.

Fitch also shows a light, nimble backpedal and does a good job of staying square and keeping the gate closed, and he's a productive zone defender who sees route concepts develop in real time and is aggressive at the catch point. Plus, the ball skills flash on tape to boot. At 5'10, it's going to depend on the hips and top-end speed to figure out just how Fitch can project to. Hard to get a read on the hips from the film, but they do look loose and able to swivel and transition easily, but coaches are going to have to navigate the lack of speed times and the height, and he isn't doing himself any favors by not running the 40 at college prospect camps. [player_tooltip player_id='2113349' first='Jonah' last='Cummings'] - Tonka's other CB - got offered and committed, so the Tonka DB room is getting looked at, so it may come down to some key, highly-competitive, big-time showings on the Summer Camp Circuit to jumpstart this recruitment. Either way, keep an eye on [player_tooltip player_id='1049987' first='James' last='Fitch'] this summer and during the 2026 season.

An absurd height/length/frame/speed combination coming out of one of Minnesota's most elite producers of college football talent; I'm not sure what I'm missing here with [player_tooltip player_id='1629868' first='Jayden' last='Meister']'s lack of D1 attention. Tell me if you've heard this one before, but this standout football player is also. a good hooper, as Meister runs with the SW MN Stars on the AAU circuit and Marshall during the winter. The kid absolutely tore up the South Dakota State Prospect Camp #1 last summer as well, coming in 6'6.25, 185 lbs. with 33.25" arms. and clocking a 4.85 40, 4.78 shuttle, and 8'8 broad jump.

The tape looks strong too, as the kid can change direction and utilize small-area movements and quickness in coverage, as well as when evading blocks, that flash the basketball background and some exciting body control for his size. He created some of the biggest hits in 2027 class. Has a massive collision around 3:45 into his highlight tape that is one of the most impressive in the class, and is overall a physical cut tackler and can lay the boom at the contact point. Meister is a productive and instinctive zone coverage defender who can see and trigger on route concepts as they develop in real time, and he does have some reps of him pressing, flipping his hips, melting into the WR's hip pocket, and showing proper eye discipline while flashing sticky coverage skills and ability.

Plus, Meister demonstrates contact balance, nimble feet, and noticeable burst after the catch as a WR, as well as the deep speed to take the top off the defense and win vertically, excellent ball skills, and strength when going up and playing the ball in the air. He plays a little high, but looks very strong for his age and size. Given the sheer aggression he shows as a tackler, and most of his best flashes on his junior tape are him at the contact point, either offensively or defensively, as well as the ball skills, so I'm comfortable saying that the the game screams LB at the next level. I'm surprised more college coaches don't want to work with this big ball of clay right now!

A 5T, off-ball ILB, NG, RB, FB, TE, HB, and sometimes wildcat QB posted 101 tackles, 3 FFs, 20 rushes for 83 yards and 4 TDs, 18 catches for 253 yards and 1 TD in 202 as a junior, and boy does the 6'3, 260 lber. overwhelm ball carriers at the contact. The Tigers' utility standout already has offers from Augustana and Sioux Falls, but he owns an incredibly versatile game, as well as a yachtload of varsity game reps, including Big Game moments the Prep Bowl, as well as verified athleticism at his size that should really entice D1 coaches to take a closer look.

Moriarty shows a good get-off, solid pad level and flexibility for his size, and can get skinny through down blocks around the LOS, and he demonstrates sideline-to-sideline defensive range as a LB. The 260 lber. utilizes good pursuit angels, can drop his hips, start/stop, and mirror RBs as closes on the ball in Teach Tape-esque fashion, and he can unlock hips and win as a blitzer and/or pass-rusher with either quickness or power. Moriarty shows active hands around the LOS and when working to disengage from blocks, and he can dominate at the contact point once he starts running his feet post-contact. Plus, the massive monster can scrape across the LOS quickly, is laterally agile, and beats blockers with proper leverage. Offensively, he's a massive asset in contested catch situations and when working to earn and find receptions over the middle. Like any good TE, he can win and finish receptions through traffic, tight contests from LBs and safeties, and earn yards after the catch, occasionally carrying would-be tacklers in dramatic fashion. Plus, there's obvious contact balance as a ball carrier and a punishing lead blocker to boot. This dude is going to make some money this Summer Camp SZN.

Back to Marshall we go! Although LB/EDGE/RB/stud [player_tooltip player_id='2049860' first='Cannon' last='Craigmile'] already has what seems like every NSIC offer in the conference on his roster sheet, the tape is so dang exciting, as well as dynamic, and the size, coaching at Marshall, and big-play ability are all so enticing that PRZMN thinks there's a chance Craigmile's recruitment doesn't end inthe Northern Sun. Although I don't think he camped anywhere last summer - so no athletic times, the kid made up for. itduring the season, helping the 2025 state 4A semifinalists with 42 tackles, 6 TFLs, 3 sacks, 1 FF, 3 fumble recoveries, including one for a TD, 1 INT.

The OLB/EDGE owns incredibly advantageous length, and the opening clip of his junior tape shows an Andrew Van Ginkel-esque INT and read where he flows out towards the edge and steps in front of a would-be hitch, fully extending up in the air to pluck the ball out of the air for an outrageous INT. The second play shows a beautiful sack from the backside of the LOS, unblocked, wherein Craigmile lays a brutal, bone-crunching sack on the blindside of the QB, who helplessly does not see it coming for even a split second. The kid has eye-popping closing speed and defensive range. He gets downhill and closes on ball carriers in a blink, which is a frightening sight when a 6'3, 210 lber. is bearing down on you with that much pace, and he's laterally twitchy, which helps when defeating and working through blocks. Craigmile - acting as a RB - displays electric contact balance and elusiveness in the open field, which created some explosive, dazzling broken tackles and big gains as a ball carrier. He even has reps of him creating separation at the top of the route, fully extending, climbing the ladder, and reeling in catches through DBs looking to lay the wood and defending with tight coverage, as well as landing on his feet post-catch and through contact before quickly accelerating and getting to the endzone in a blink.

However, the best work comes on defense, where Craigmile can dip and rip through large, experienced OTs and blocks. He can drop his hips, run the hoop, and bend when needed, as well as beat OTs to either shoulder, and is a brutal, productive blitzer and strong tackler who naturally works for the turnover. Craigmile has a great rep of him dipping and ripping through an OTs inside shoulder, before sticking his cleat in the turf and exploding down the LOS to run the RB down in a great display of acceleration and speed. He defends the edge with proper leverage and naturally works his arms and length up into passing lanes, owns game-breaking speed as a ball carrier, and has multiple reps showcasing some excellent play speed from the LB position and for his size. If the athletic data and measurables can match the speed, twitch, explosiveness on tape, this kid is a D1 LB or EDGE. Pay attention to Marshall this Summer Camp SZN!
