Film Room Friday: This Week's Rising Prospects

It's Film Room Friday!   Today, we're highlighting some prospects around the state who really impressed us over the past week!   We think these guys are set up for huge years in 2026, so make sure you check out their film with us to get ready for the season this fall!    [player_tooltip player_id='2132705' first='Brennan' last='Robinson'] is a really talented 2028 DB from Shelby County who made a ton of big plays out in his team's secondary last fall.   "Robison is a talented DB in coverage who thrives off his timing and ball skills. Robinson is excellent at tracking passes through the air, perfectly breaking underneath and jumping routes to get his hands on the ball and force PBUs. He's a threat all over the field who can fly in and disrupt plays all across the secondary; it's awesome to watch.   I'm really impressed with Robinson's run support. He can make impact plays near the line of scrimmage, flying downhill to fill in gaps and getting low to make impressive form tackles, limiting plays to little or no yardage. He's a really versatile threat in the secondary who's going to take some big steps in 2026."   Robinson had an impressive sophomore campaign last fall and was able to put together some great tape in the process. Make sure you watch some of their clips below. You'll come away impressed.      [player_tooltip player_id='2176956' first='Mylez' last='Gourdine'] is a lockdown DB from Montgomery Catholic who really impressed throughout his sophomore season last fall.   "I'm a big fan of Gourdine's physicality in coverage. He makes opposing WRs work for every yard- frequently re-routing them at the line of scrimmage and staying with them the entire length of the field.   Gourdine also has an impressive set of hands he uses to pick off break-up passes thrown his way. It's rare for opposing QBs to target him, but when they do, he has the timing, instincts, and ball skills to swoop in and create some impressive picks. I really look forward to his next season. I think he could take a big jump."   I'm looking forward to what Gourdine has in store over the next few years. He's a talented player who can create turnovers and PBUs against some of the best in the state. Be sure to take a look at his film below:      [player_tooltip player_id='2176958' first='Mac' last='Houston'] is a really talented passer from Enterprise that I think we'll be hearing a lot more from over the next few seasons.   "There's a ton to like with Houston's tape. He has a live arm capable of making any throw on the field. His arm strength is no joke, and he can accurately launch the ball and hit his targets in stride, no matter what route or part of the field they're at. Houston's deep ball is a thing of beauty. He can uncork some missiles downfield to create explosive plays in the passing game; it's awesome to watch.   I'm really impressed with Houston's processing and mechanics as well. He sees the field really well and makes quick and good decisions with the ball, rarely putting it in harm's way. On top of that, he does a great job selling play actions, stands tall in the pocket, and plays with a ton of confidence. I really think Enterprise is going to take off with Houston leading the way; we all need to watch out."   Houston put some really impressive throws on display with his film from last season. There's a lot to like about his game. I think he has a really bright future ahead.      [player_tooltip player_id='1803058' first='Adrian' last='Davis'] is an explosive threat on the ground for Jemison who is coming off a huge junior season last fall.   "Davis is a versatile back who can create impact plays in the run and pass game. Davis is quick, has a great burst, and can easily outrun and evade defenders in the open field. I'm really impressed with how Davis can move with the ball in his hands. He can make some explosive cuts and change his direction with ease, finding ways to leave defenders in the dust and create huge gains.   Davis really brings a ton of value to his team's passing attack. He's quick and has a natural set of hands you can rely on to bring in passes from out of the backfield. When you mix that with how hard he runs and his contact balance, it makes him super hard to slow down."   Davis made a ton of game-changing plays on the ground last fall. We're all going to have to watch out for him this coming season. He has a huge year ahead.      [player_tooltip player_id='1062655' first='Everett' last='Bethart'] is a talented OL prospect who's found a ton of success on Auburn's offensive line the last two years.   "Bethart is a physical and aggressive force in the trenches who plays through the whistle every snap. I love seeing Bethart's effort and how he plays in the run game. He's a mauler who explodes off the ball and plays with great leverage and power, dominating the line of scrimmage and upfield.   Bethart is just as productive in pass protection. He's quick on his feet, has an impressive anchor, and makes life difficult for opposing pass rushers, exhausting them with his quickness, power, and leverage. Overall, I think Bethart and Auburn's offensive line are going to have a huge year; they have a ton of talent on the offensive side of the ball."   Bethart really impressed in his junior season last fall. I think he and Auburn have another big season this upcoming fall. We all need to watch out for them.
