Houston’s game is defined by efficiency and consistency. With a quick release and high level operational processing the short and intermediate passing game are almost as safe as a run while keeping his team in control of tempo. He rarely appears rushed and consistently delivers catchable footballs on time.

When working intermediate concepts His ball placement is advanced . He has the touch to layer balls in between linebackers and safeties while having enough strength to push the ball outside of the numbers. His overall throwing profile is polished and can fit in most systems- adding value to his potential as his body catches up to his skill.

“There’s a ton to like with Houston’s tape. He has a live arm capable of making any throw on the field. His arm strength is no joke, and he can accurately launch the ball and hit his targets in stride, no matter what route or part of the field they’re at. Houston’s deep ball is a thing of beauty. He can uncork some missiles downfield to create explosive plays in the passing game; it’s awesome to watch.

I’m really impressed with Houston’s processing and mechanics as well. He sees the field really well and makes quick and good decisions with the ball, rarely putting it in harm’s way. On top of that, he does a great job selling play actions, stands tall in the pocket, and plays with a ton of confidence. Houston put some really impressive throws on display with his film from last season. There’s a lot to like about his game. I think he has a really bright future ahead.
