Happy Monday, and welcome back to our county deep dives series. After looking at the quarterbacks and running backs last week, I'm turning my attention to a deep receiver group in Wake County.

Ross was on pace for a record season until quarterback injuries derailed South Garner's passing attack. In the six games that the Titans were healthy at quarterback, Ross caught 34 passes, averaged nearly 105 yards per game, and scored seven touchdowns. Expect another huge year from a guy who excels at both getting behind defenses and making unreal highlight catches.

Roberts was the deep threat on a deep Rolesville receiving corps last season, and following the departure of a couple of key targets, he could be in for an influx of targets as a senior. Roberts has size, speed, and is one of the better route-runners in the state. Projecting forward, if Rolesville wants to take another step forward, Roberts will be a big part of the offensive gameplan.

Perry will look to take the next step in his development after the departure of Leesville Road's No. 1 option last season. Perry can hurt teams in so many different ways. He's a dynamic receiver, strong kick returner, and though he didn't return many punts, he was explosive when he did. Assuming he can take another step, we expect the new No. 1 for the Pride to have a big season.

With all the talent on the Southeast Raleigh offense, Bullock wasn't really expected to be a star, but he ended up leading the Bulldogs in receiving last year. Now, he's squarely on teams' radars, so can he still have the same success? Despite his size, he works best over the middle of the field and excels after the catch.

Bocciardi loses a couple of his running mates at receiver, so he should be the top option a year after topping 900 yards and scoring double-digit touchdowns and still finishing second on his own team in both of those categories. He's a natural receiver, with great hands and smooth route-running. There's a posssibility he leads the county in receiving this year.

Among a deep receiver group, Martin carved out a role in the slot, finsihing third on the team in receiving. He gets up to full speed in a hurry, making him dangerous after the catch on screens. Rolesville also put him in motion a lot, which help created space in defenses. This year, he could be in line for a bigger role.

Slone had a fantastic season as Green Hope had its first winning season in five years. Slone has size, route-running, and football I.Q. He excels at finding the soft spot against zone, and he can use his size to protect himself and make tough catches over the middle.

Sadler has played at the varsity level for a while, and yet he's just a rising junior. Green Level moved him around more as a freshman, but though he got some manufactured touches via handoff, he really found a home in the slot. He explodes out of the catch and is tough to catch in the open field.

Cooper may show back up on our athlete rankings at the end of this series, as he's a true two-way star, but here, we're focused on his impact on the offensive side of the ball. Cooper's ball skills are evident, and a lot of his damage are done on go balls and 50-50 opportunities down the field.

To my knowledge, Kalisiak is the first 8-man player we've ever ranked in a Deep Dive, and he's thoroughly deserving. He's a route-running savant with great acceleration and more than enough size and speed to thrive at the next level. He scored 26 touchdowns, and only 14 were as a receiver, with five on special teams, one on defense, and six as a rusher.
