Those that have looked at our 2027 South Dakota class know which prospects have already gotten offers to play college football, but this report focuses on the ones that don't have thier first offer yet but could go "spring forward" and amp up their stock this Spring. This gorup has plenty of stock at linebacker, but there are some athletes and tight ends that cracked our list too!

Brandon Valley has always had a solid group of linebackers in just about every class since we launched back in 2021 and their 2027 class features [player_tooltip player_id='1152876' first='Miles' last='Fokken'] who I could see moving the needle this spring. College coaches will like his fluidity he shows off getting to the ball carrier and is a persistent physicali tackler at the point of attack. He does an excellent job of penetrating to the ball carrier quickly especially in clutch time when teams are deep in Lynx territory. He boosts a catchy release out of stance and one that impresses me with his motor especially as a run-stopper.

Tyler was a new addition to our 2027 radar in last months's update and is a tight end that could move up this Spring. The 6'3 235 pounder from Sioux Fall Jefferson, shows off great hands and sound route-running ability for his size and brings the fluidity you want to see out of your tight end position. I like his upside as a run-blocker and how it can show development into camp season and beyond into his senior season based on how quick he gets off the line down to the point of attack. He'll see a much bigger role for the Cavaliers in his senior season for sure.

Jace is another 2027 out of the city of Dell Rapids that I feel is next up to gather more attention on his recruiting trail. He boosts one of the biggest motors you will see amongst linebackers on this list and is a weapon getting to the point of attack no matter where he is lined up in the Quarriers defense showing position flexibility for the LB position at the next-level. He's a persistent downhll run-stopper that does a great job getting thru tight windows like clockwork and it doesn't take long to see that Jace is one that has a great football IQ that still has wiggle room to grow even more.

The production you get out of Mason on all three levels of the field shows off the growth of his football IQ that he saw in his junior season. No matter what side of the ball Mason is on, the finishing ability he has with the ball in his hands is one key skillset that should pop out to college coaches quickly. He brings elusive change of direction that can offset defenders pursuit angles especially getting to the outside edges of the field with sound seperation ability. He's got some frame to grow out in the weight room this offseason, but surely is an athlete out of Parkston worth a good look.

Madden is a 2027 linebacker out of Yankton that from my eyes, has created more range as an athlete that can get from sideline to sideline and show off the fluidity you want to see from your middle linebacker getting downhill. The 6'0 220 pounder also has the power to shed of blocks and I like the get off he shows getting off those blocks getting to the point of attack with tight angles. Madden also is a linebacker that can play in muliple spots in my eyes as there's some plays on tape that flash deeper that show off that flexibility he has at his disposal. He is surely one that I will like to see in college camp settings this summer in a live eval.

One of two 2027 athletes that we added in our top 100 in South Dakota from the Castlewood Warriors, is [player_tooltip player_id='2103783' first='Owen' last='Shea']. What stands out when you get to watch Owen on tape is his motor, as when he comes down to the point of attack, you can tell the chip and physicality he plays off his release and physicality with his tackling ability. He's a persistent run-stopper that has quick short and mid-area vision to collapse on the ball carrier very quickly. He's one that also has a sudden twitch of athleticism with his get off and surely is one like most on this list that I will give a Saturday grade to.
