2027 Film Room Evaluations: Offense

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Film breakdown of some of the under the radar 2027 offensive prospects from around the state. </h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Scheurn is an under the radar prospect due to an injury that limited his junior season. Recently transferred to Chandler, he's got great upside with a projectable 6'5” 200 lb. frame. Operated primarily out wide but is a good candidate to make the positional transition to TE at the college level. Possesses great straight line speed, runs an 11.15 100m and is the anchor for the 4x100 relay team. That speeds combined with his length make him an ideal deep threat and redzone target. Large catch radius and demonstrates strong hands using good extension to secure receptions in traffic. Willing and capable blocker that initiates contact with a strong base and active feet. He's a breakout candidate in the 2026 season that could pop on the recruiting scene at any moment.</p>      <p class="text-gray-700">Honeywood is a quick twitch and athletic WR out of Desert Edge. Flashes good all around game speed with strong initial burst off the LOS, plus change of direction, and the top end speed to outrun defenders on vertical routes. Loose hips, he's quick in and out of his breaks as a route runner and is sudden/explosive with his cuts. Excels after the catch to turn short passes into big gains showing the elusiveness to make defenders miss and the acceleration to breakaway in space. Good ability to make the catch but would like to see him be more consistent with hands instead of allowing the ball to get into his body. Demonstrates his athleticism and versatility playing multiple positions on the OL and in pursuit on defense. Projects as an OG at the college level that can create consistent movement with good natural strength and power at the POA. Engages contact with a heavy initial strike while accelerating his feet to drive defenders off the ball in the run game. Latches on and sustains his block throughout the play to spring runs into the second level. Not just a downhill blocker, he's light on his feet showing he can pull, work to the second level, and line up a block in space. Good ability to work laterally and mirror movement in pass protection to maintain a clean pocket from the inside. Performed well at the recent UA PHX Combine with a verified 75 inch wingspan and a 5.08 40 time. Smooth delivery, length and good rotation in his hips/shoulders give him added arm strength to push the ball vertically or drive it with velocity to the short/intermediate levels. Good touch, he's able to mix up speeds based on throwing lane and be accurate with good trajectory on the deep ball. Strong pocket movement, he does a good job feeling and avoiding the rush to escape to either direction while maintaining his accuracy throwing on the run to either direction. Keeps his eyes downfield and quickly sets his feet to deliver. Plus athlete with deceptive speed, he's dangerous with his legs on both designed runs and broken plays. Quality all around college prospect that should see a bump in recruitment going forward.</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/LubnoJonah/status/1993830687607279870 </div></figure>     <p>Wright was a consistent and reliable target for Notre Dame as a junior racking up 49 receptions for 508 yards and 4 touchdowns. 6'0” 160 lbs. he's got a lean frame with room to add mass as he develops without losing his smooth athleticism and speed. He bursts off the line with a strong drive phase, utilizes a variety of release moves, and breaks off defenders with sharp, temp controlled routes. Tracks the ball in the air with ease, extends naturally at the catch point, and easily adjusts to off target throws with body control and coordination. Finishes tough catches in tight windows, and is able to slip tackles, cut quickly, and accelerate into space.
