Gridiron Players: Difference Makers

He is a player that has quick feet and the ability to get moving in an aggressive pursuit. By the same token, Stallone has the talent to blitz through the A and B gaps to cause havoc on the QB. His timing and explosiveness allow him to penetrate quickly. The ability to be an impactful force on special teams was a huge highlight in his game. Making clean, forceful tackles that caused a loss was key. Stallone also had snaps at the FB position, making lead blocks in designated runs. His ability to create lanes through drive blocks was a standout while taking snaps at both OG and C. In comparison, Romano's athletic ability was a major highlight in his performance during pull and reach blocks. Smoothly getting out of his blocks with no hesitation was present when taking control. He has a strong overall balance and core to help in blocking assets. At DT, he is a sound 3-technique that will attack the run game. The flexibility to line up in multiple positions such as SS, slot CB, OLB, and boundary CB stood out. Furthermore, Taylor has a unique talent to diagnose routes and jump them. This quick footwork and aggressive play style enable him to attack the ball effectively while also playing downhill at the line of scrimmage to make TFLs. Particularly at the WR position, he operated most of his reps from the inside slot role. Sprung would flash, making leaping catches downfield, but his YAC ability stands out the most. When playing at the SS position, Sprung did play with a lot of aggressive pursuit and range. Making formed tackles and shooting downhill with speed was a common factor. Nevertheless, Sprung playing down in the box was a factor against the run. The ability to be a security blanket over the middle or at the boundary on short curls was a flashpoint to see. He is tough to bring down, using excellent body control to absorb contact and gain extra yardage. Heffern will block for his teammates, and it gains an advantage for creative block and release routes in play action.
