has a strong ability to create plays after making the catch. Heffern did so by breaking tackles in the short area of the field on block and release routes but also intermediate portions. On multiple occasions Heffern was able to sneak out of the backdoor for large gains in play action. Meanwhile, he moves with quickness and a smoothness in his routes. Making catches with DBs in his face and over the middle would show on tape.

is a TE that is a true target and gridiron player that is a difference maker on tape. The ability to be a security blanket over the middle or at the boundary on short curls was a flashpoint to see. He is tough to bring down, using excellent body control to absorb contact and gain extra yardage. Heffern will block for his teammates, and it gains an advantage for creative block and release routes in play action. Thereupon, his route running and ability to catch the ball with his pure hands were a plus.

Standing at 6’3″ 190-Pounds, Heffern has a solid build for the TE position. Given his solid frame, Heffern can also take snaps at WR whether in the slot or out wide.
Heffern is a gifted athlete who can play on both sides of the field with snaps shown at both TE and LB. On the defensive side of the ball he displays a twitch paired with a solid IQ. As a TE he showcases his elite hands and can make complicated catches look easy. He is a solid blocker and showcases good hand placement.
The Section Two prospect is one of the top athletes I have on my list to watch this season. His athletic ability paired with IQ make him an intriguing prospect.

Herrern is a little undersized for the position, but as a sophomore, he has an intriguing frame and room to grow. A two-way performer for Bethlehem, he is a guy who I think could also potentially have a future at the LB position, although his SOPH tape shows some quality things at the TE position.
Heffern plays mostly in-line and occasionally splits into slot. He shows strong hands and an impressive catch radius as a receiver. As a blocker, he definitely needs to add strength to his game, but his motor is there, and he consistently attacks guys with his hands—he has the blocking experience with how often he lines up.
