Checking in on Maryland's current Top ten 2029 prospects

Butler started on the varsity team his entire freshman year. Maryland and Syracuse are among his early offers. There's no question that he'll pick up some more this offseason. Butler started 6-of-11 games and made 32 tackles (17 solo, 5 TFL's) and two pass breakups.    Prep Redzone takes a quick look at the progress that the top ten prospects in our current Class of 2029 have made since the last update.    As far as team impact goes, Snowden has made the biggest difference out of everyone in his class. His mission: make sure Archbishop Spalding didn't miss a beat after losing Malik Washington (currently STARTING at Maryland) to graduation. Snowden passed for 2,100 yards and 25 total touchdowns as a freshman. I believe it's only the beginning. Snowden has an offer from Maryland. With a varsity year of football in his pocket, it'll be interesting to see which other schools decide to pull the trigger on an offer during the next several months.     Wallace started at cornerback in one of the toughest conferences in the nation. He finished with 25 total tackles, three interceptions, and eight pass deflections as a freshman. Syracuse, Auburn, and Maryland are his early offers. By the time the 2026 season comes around, he should be a double-digit offer-guy.     Henry saw extensive action on St. Frances Academy's regional team. He plays the safety position like a centerfielder, keeping everything in front of him. Henry is a physical tackler, too. With his frame, it'll be interesting to see where he ends up. I can see him at outside linebacker, too, depending on how his body develops. No wonder Texas A&M, South Florida, Florida State, and Alabama are among the schools to have already offered him.     Manning put together a solid freshman-year season, making 39 total tackles (21 solo, 13 TFL's) and sacking the quarterback eight times. His early offer list includes Maryland and Penn State.     Reeves is another St. Frances Academy 2029 prospect who spent time on the regional team this past season. His early offers include South Florida and Maryland. Reeves is another one who is patiently waiting his turn, but is certainly next up for the Panthers.     Alston had a solid start to his career as a freshman. He carried the football 127 times for 429 yards and four touchdowns. He was able to get his feet wet and taste what it's like to play in one of the toughest leagues, the WCAC Capital Division. What he does in between now and the start of next season will determine how much of a leap he makes on the field.     Texas A&M, South Florida, Florida State, Maryland, and Boston College are among his early offers. I watched some of his highlights, and his closing speed is among the best I've seen from a defensive back in his class. He's definitely next up for the Panthers in that secondary.     Beck is relentless off the edge. I'm impressed with his ability to use different pass-rushing moves at his age and his quickness off the ball. Based on his 2025 season highlights, I wouldn't be surprised if he picked up a few offers this offseason. I can see him moving up in the rankings when the next update comes out based on where things stand now.     After watching his freshman-year highlights, I wouldn't be mad if he asked for an athlete designation. The highlights show that he's a playmaker with the football in his hands, especially at the wide receiver position. Hinton's technique at his age as a cornerback stands out. When he's pressing on the line of scrimmage, he gets his hands on the receiver. Hinton is solid in both off-man and man coverage. He can definitely ball.
