Cardell continues his rise up the rankings with each update. Moving up 3 spots to the #4 overall and the #1 DL prospect, while also being the #2 rated player from MD. The main thing that lead to his new rankings is how much stronger and filled out Cardell has gotten heading into this fall. Adding roughly 25lbs to his frame that already looked the part. Cardell will be even harder to block this season as he add more power & strength to his already athletic and quick twitch ability from the DE spot. Cardell plays with a low powerful stance, that allows hims to win with either speed or power. He can use his strength to walk back blockers and shed or can long arm the OT to set the edge or win with speed, staying low and bend at the top of his rush to then flatten down the line to get to the ball. Cardell plays with a good motor, high energy and fluid hips.
His skill set makes Cardell a complete DE able to play in multiple schemes and multiple ways. It is no wonder he holds double digit P4 offers and continues to move up the rankings.

Beck is relentless off the edge. I’m impressed with his ability to use different pass-rushing moves at his age and his quickness off the ball. Based on his 2025 season highlights, I wouldn’t be surprised if he picked up a few offers this offseason. I can see him moving up in the rankings when the next update comes out based on where things stand now.

Cardell is a true DE/Edge defender with the frame and length to grow into a dominant player and top prospect in the area. Showing a nice muscled up build already, Beck passes the eye test and should continue to do so easily throughout the years.
I got to see Cardell live at practice recently and came away impressed with his bend and burst. With a low powerful stance prior to the snap Cardell sets himself up to explode off the snap with speed & leverage. This allows him to be in position to set up and work the OT multiple ways based on what’s available to him. He is strong enough to take on the blocker and either use his power to walk him back and shed or can long arm the OT and set the edge. Cardell can also stay low and bend at the top of his rush to then flatten down the line to get to the ball. He shows excellent hips, able to re-direct, open up and run or win with an out & in move. I also like the motor Cardell plays with. High energy, doesn’t give up on plays and can chase down ball carriers and even play in the open field. He plays with that want to in his game.
A player that is ready to explode on to the scene and start getting plenty of attention from college coaches. Cardell has high ceiling and lots of potential to develop into a top DE prospect.
Blessed to be ranked #2 Edge rusher in maryland and #9 player overall pic.twitter.com/bVoo9gQ22b
