4 Lowkey Stops College Coaches Should Make This Offseason

With the portal starting to wrap up, college coaches are starting to turn their attention back to high schoolers. Coaches are back on the road, so here are a few stops they need to add to their travel plan, if they haven't already.   Richmond Hill    Grant is a highly productive two-way player for Richmond Hill, doing most of his damage as a receiver. He is explosive off the line with impressive foot speed and long strides, helping him eat cushion and making him hard to run with down the field, even at a smaller size. Grant could probably play either way in college, especially at 5'11, but his ball skills and short area quickness are on full display as a receiver.     Brown is a similar player to Sims frame and playstyle-wise, he is just a year older. Brown is a strong, thicker player with the mass to hold his own and be a disruptive player in running lanes, but his motor and ability to move in space are rare at his size. He makes plays all over the yard and has the speed to act as a ball chaser once he is free of block traffic.     I highlighted Sims this past fall as a sophomore with D1 upside. Now that his sophomore season is concluded, it's a good time to recall that write-up:   "10/10/25: Shorter, stout, pure IDL projection. Arms look long relative to his listed HT. First step explosiveness is extremely impressive, consistently the first hat through and quickly penetrates. Strong enough to collapse blockers in the bull rush. Fights hard to free himself. Has compensators for height. Really underrated."    Northgate    I have been a fan of [player_tooltip player_id='1595656' first='Ledger' last='Clements'] for a while now, and he continues to make marked improvements both as an athlete and as a passer. Doubles as a baseball player, and he can really drive the ball with velocity. I am looking to see him grow more nuance in his game and continue to improve ahead of his junior season. His junior season could be a big one for him.     Schettini is one of the best 2028 RBs in Georgia, and he has produced like it early on in his career. He is well-covered by us here at Prep Redzone, so here's a look at my most recent write-up of his from this past fall:   "Schettini has been the engine offensively for Northgate this year and continues to develop into one of the best 2028 backs in Georgia. He holds his frame with a low center of gravity and stout legs. His foot speed and short-area twitch are impressive, helping him jump around chaos in congested areas and search for open grass. Schettini is a sub-11 runner in the 100M and a school record holder, so once he finds grass, he can lift off. Schettini has an argument to be the biggest breakout RB in the state this fall, and it's a matter of time before he generates major recruiting attention."     Gill is a leading receiver for Northgate and is one of several 2028's on this squad to watch closely. He is a smaller, obvious slot projection, but he works vertically better than most receivers at his size. His body control and hands through traffic are impressive. As I mentioned before, I am intrigued by how he would develop long-term out of the backfield at his size.    Dalton    London is another productive receiver for a loaded Dalton WR room. He is an inside-out, multi-level threat who plays with a smooth pace. The nuance to his game is impressive. He tracks the ball well, understands pacing, and plays with fantastic body control. He is a lowkey prospect right now, but he is a D1 graded player who should garner that attention this offseason.     Woods is one of my favorite 2028 QBs in Georgia, and he continues to improve. He is raw traits-wise, but more than equipped in his arm and athletically to make plays. As he develops and tightens up, he should only garner more attention. He is a master when the play breaks down, flashing some gunslinger ability to his game. He consistently makes something out of nothing. Woods is a gamer, and I am excited to see him in person for the first time.     Searles is a big, raw athlete who is already firmly on the P4 radar. He is a massive catch radius, helping him win contested catch situations down the field. He flashes some physicality as well, which shows as a blocker. Still finding his top gear in space, but his long strides help him eat turf. Searles is still growing, getting better, and is well on his way to becoming a blue-chip WR.    Heard County    I highlighted Tisdale earlier this month, and believe he is one of the more lowkey QBs in the state that needs FBS/P4 attention. He is a true dual-threat QB, and he is traitsy enough to have generated some buzz as an athlete in his recruiting process. However, he can sling it, and I believe he is one of the more broadly slept-on players in the state.     Like Heard, I highlighted Coleman earlier this month. Heard County players look like they're well-coached, and Coleman is no different. Smooth pace, patient, doesn't waste time dancing. Simply a well-rounded player with a strong build and functional athleticism. As I said earlier, I think he is worthy of generating D1 buzz.     At his size, Moreland's body control and ability to win in traffic is extremely impressive. Here's a look at my most recent write-up of his:   "At his size, his body control and ability to go up and get it through traffic is beyond impressive. He has enough juice athletically to be trusted in YAC situations, but even at his size, he will make his money down the field. He is in rare company in Georgia when it comes to body control and hands in tight spots."
