A slipper back who can be tough to bring to the ground, Coleman is a shifty funner who can break tackles and score from anywhere on the field. He runs hard and has the ability to break off big runs on the perimeter while also breaking through a small hole in the trenches. The small-town back was an easy addition to the latest rankings update after rushing for an impressive 1,169 yards and 18 touchdowns. He was a consistent weapon on the ground, rushing for at least 100 yards in five games last season. One of the top 2027 running backs in West Georgia, Coleman should be even better as a senior in 2027.

Coleman fully jumped onto my radar this winter, and he has been a guy I keep going back to. He has been well covered by us at PRZ this offseason, so he is absolutely someone to watch ahead of future rankings updates. Well-rounded player who is built strongly into his 175 frame. Just a smooth, patient runner who does everything well. Underrated player that I am higher on than the rest of the industry.

A West Georgia back who shined throughout his junior season last year, Coleman is a dynamic runner who knows how to naturally elude defenders down the field. One of the region’s fastest and most productive backs, Coleman showed easy D1-caliber potential last fall as he ran for an impressive 1,169 yards and 18 touchdowns. He averaged over 7 yards per rush and averaged 83 yards on the ground per game. His change of direction, vision, and overall talent should allow him to have a tremendous senior season in 2026.

Like Heard, I highlighted Coleman earlier this month. Heard County players look like they’re well-coached, and Coleman is no different. Smooth pace, patient, doesn’t waste time dancing. Simply a well-rounded player with a strong build and functional athleticism. As I said earlier, I think he is worthy of generating D1 buzz.

I’m just all around a big fan of how Darience Coleman Darience Coleman 5'10" | 175 lbs | RB Heard County | 2027 State GA plays. He is listed at 5’10 175, but he is packed strongly into that frame. His contact balance is beyond impressive for the weight he plays at. No nonsense, vertical runner who doesn’t peel off from his running lane without reason. Coleman is just a really solid player and is physical. I think he could get some D1 buzz this offseason, and he would be at the top of my board at an in-state small school.

A small-town back who ran wild this past season as a junior, Coleman is an under the radar back who lit up the stat sheet last year with 1,169 rushing yards and 18 touchdowns in 14 games. He’s a good athlete with dependable hands out of the backfield as he also caught 20 passes for 253 yards and four more scores. He was one of the more productive backs across that area of West Georgia and was an absolute touchdown machine all season long. He scored at least one touchdown in every game but one and hit the 100-yard mark five times. Look for him to be an easy addition to the next 2027 Prep Redzone rankings.
