2027 Rankings Update: Watch List to Rankings

We utilize the Prep Redzone WI Watch List as a holding area. These are athletes that landed on our radar with a camp performance, or online interaction but they don't have the film to dive into to establish a solid ranking. So they hold in the Watch List and each update I go through and check to see if there is any new film for these athletes. This update had dozens move up from the Watch List, so let's dive into that fresh film and analyze these newest members of the Class of 2027 Rankings.    Joey makes his debut in the rankings inside the Top 10 for the QB position. I watched him live in Week 1 as a sophomore. The jump from then to his junior highlights looks like a completely different player. Joey is bigger, much more experienced, and the game seems to have slowed down for him because he is processing things quicker. Muskego's offense gets Joey on the move a ton in their passing game. That fits the super mobile junior's game. His elusive, quick twitch agility is a nightmare to try and keep in the pocket. His accuracy while on the move, or off platform, or while falling away also jumps off the tape throw after throw. The 2027 is also a talented baseball player. Experienced, athletic, and a legitimate gamer. Check him out.      Blake moved between guard and center in his highlights this season for Chippewa Falls and has plenty of dominant wins at both. The junior is powerful interior lineman who wins with a strong lower body, heavy hands, and consistently great leverage. Clip after clip the big man is bulldozing IDL off the ball or out of gaps. The big man can also move, pulling across the formation and delivering big initial hits on unsuspecting DL. That strength also helps Blake set a stout anchor so his QB has room to step up if needed. Tap into his highlights for a look.      Baldwin- Woodville has been one of the best offenses in northern WI in recent years, and the dominance of their OL is a big reason why. Leading the way for the group is 2027 [player_tooltip player_id='1689577' first='Landon' last='Peavey']. You are getting an athletic OL in Landon. His best moments highlight his ability to pull across the formation to kick out an end, wrap around, or get up to level two off the line quickly. The junior is able to cover ground in a hurry, but is also always ready to unload his power as soon as he makes contact. The '27 also has shown he can double team up to level two and perfectly peel off to pick up the LB. Landon is built to win on the interior at the next level with the strengths he presents.      Madden is an intriguing OL project that could have huge returns at the next level. The OT has a long, lean frame at 6'6". He will need time to fill out that frame at the next level, but the raw tools and size can't be coached. Madden is a nimble athlete, easily getting depth vs speed and mirroring counter moves after engaging in pass pro. He also can cover ground laterally in the run game. Even at just 235 lbs the junior was still able to create movement in the trenches too. The 2027 just needs time to put everything together and build out that frame.      One of my favorite postseason breakouts among the athletes I watched live was C-FC's [player_tooltip player_id='1589842' first='Aidan' last='Lisowski'] at RB and LB. He is every bit of 6'2" 215 lbs and that size stood out among his small school foes. As a ball carrier Aiden barely notices arm tackles as he runs through them and has a strong stiff arm to keep DBs at bay downfield. They use Aidan at FB a lot and he dominates with his north-south, quick hitting carries. The junior did well accelerating quickly and once the ball was rolling he wouldn't go down without a gang tackle. That power serves him well off the edge on defense too. Tap into his junior highlights.      Ivan is a very interesting athlete. He has a big frame that you find on the interior more often, but the junior primarily plays off the edge. While he doesn't have the typical length, Ivan wins with quickness. He jumps off the line at the snap with good timing and accelerates quickly to get to the heels of the OL. We also see him turn that burst into power while also using his leverage to drive an OT back. Ivan also has a clip of him on the interior and flying through a gap untouched for a TFL. His quickness could give him chances to play all along the DL as a pass rusher early on. Keep an eye on him.      Demetris is a long CB at 6'1", perfect for battling WRs downfield and at the line. Vance's highlights show a versatile athlete. He will play near the box and quickly close against the run game and not hesitate to play physical and make tackles off the edge. Then you will see him out in tight man to man coverage with no help over the top. Demetris has examples of him being able to turn and run deep with WRs and be competitive at the catch point to break up passes. We also see him play over the top at safety and read and close on the ball to break up passes. This is an under the radar athlete to check out.      Next up we have the Catholic Memorial center Max Erchull. The junior is a 6' 260 lbs IOL who does a consistently good job of delivering accurate snaps and then quickly engaging the DL in front of him or in the gap next to him. Max has the power to quickly engage a NG and hold his ground in the pass game or double team DL up to LBs. We see short area burst and quickness to his game too as he is able to reach DL where his OG was pulling away from. Maxon is able to get there before the DL can get through the hole and drive them away from the ball. The '27 does really well fighting to get his butt to the hole in the run game too to wall off the DL. Don't sleep on the kid.     This is a fun athlete to watch. Both on tape and in person, which I have been lucky enough to do in 2025. Trent is an electric athlete at QB. On the ground, Trent has really good vision running through traffic. He is quick to identify seams and blocks to set up. The junior is able to accelerate to top speed in a hurry and that top speed is able to beat angles downfield. Trent is a legitimate dual threat weapon. Through the air Trent has a live arm. He can push the ball deep downfield and drop the ball in a bucket. The junior is more raw as a passer compared to his dynamic rushing attack, but there are tools to work with that can carry to the next level. Definitely check out these highlights.      It is great to see some film from a Baraboo playmaker. We didn't had one in this last cycle, but Rashad looks like he will be a name to know. The WR wins throughout his highlights with route running that attacks the short to intermediate levels of the field. Rashad is able to get open quickly, and I love the way he comes back to the ball to make the catch instead of waiting when he gets the chance to. He seems to naturally pluck the ball out of the air and after the catch the junior can be a slippery athlete. Tap into his highlights and get him on campus this summer for camps.
