2027 Board Reset: PRZ Top 5, Sleepers, and RBs to Know

Some might consider the 2027 RB class in Georgia top-heavy, but the big-picture is that there are plenty of talented backs capable of playing at a few different levels in college. PRZ Top 5   Jerry Beard   [player_tooltip player_id='419329' first='Quinterrius' last='Gipson']   [player_tooltip player_id='474084' first='Brayden' last='Tyson']   [player_tooltip player_id='1584804' first='Caden' last='Waye']   [player_tooltip player_id='416590' first='Jakeyveon' last='Parker']   Sleepers    Good size, still growing into his body. Hard to bring down. Patient, no nonsense runner. Elusive enough to take the yards avaliable, but won't waste time dancing. Churns feet at contact and will get even better in traffic if his pad-level continues to come down. Love the size and upside on this kid, definitely someone to monitor closely as a senior.     McIntosh is one of the more interesting RB prospects i've evaluated in the 2027 class. He comes in around 6'2 180 and is built more like a receiver than an RB. However, his play style translates best to RB. He is patient, has quick enough feet to dance in running lanes, and is able to physically play tacklers. As he adds weight, which he has plenty of room to do so, he should continue to turn speed into power and blossom. There is plenty of tread on the tires here.     There's now a couple of years of experience under Steele's belt, who is a three-sport athlete. 1He has clocked 1.27 100M, moving well around 190. Low center of gravity. Hard yards between tackles. Drives at contact. Breakaway speed is there against current comp. Definitely physical enough to play in college, and he can roll downhill. At the very least, in-state small schools need to stop by in the spring.     I'm just all around a big fan of how [player_tooltip player_id='2100175' first='Darience' last='Coleman'] plays. He is listed at 5'10 175, but he is packed strongly into that frame. His contact balance is beyond impressive for the weight he plays at. No nonsense, vertical runner who doesn't peel off from his running lane without reason. Coleman is just a really solid player and is physical. I think he could get some D1 buzz this offseason, and he would be at the top of my board at an in-state small school.     Malone was a breakout player last year for another explosive Cambridge offense. Malone is a lean 5'10 175. He is a slick athlete with good body and feet control. Not a thumper, but he plays well amongst chaos and can create positive runs out of nothing. Malone was a big play threat every time he touched the ball as a junior, and that should translate to his senior season.    Names to Track    Hilton is a well-known name for me, and a few offers under his belt confirms he is on boards and a name to monitor. Hilton PR'd at 10.97 in 100M (2024). Long-limbed, still growing into his frame. Long strides, gallops away once he opens up. Strong cuts and welcomes contact. Looking to see how his intial speed develops. Fun player with juice andupside.     Tillman is a burner with a 10.93 100M PR (4/25). Featherweight, paper-thin. Has breakaway and stay-away speed. Mostly a get it and go runner, but has the wiggle, vision, and patience to bounce the ball outside. He will have to pack on some mass to his frame, but this kid can roll. His speed should put him in position to play in college.     Atchison was a breakout rusher as a junior and meets D1 size requirements, wearing 195 pounds well. Nickel and dime, elusive runner with excellent foot quickness and COD. Stays squared to the running lane and can dance around contact in the short areas. Runs with good pad-level, can sink his weight. Haven't seen him open up his stride much yet, but GPS metrics over 20 MPH indicate he can roll. Similar to an older Milton RB TJ Lester, Atchison plays the position well and should get a crack at the D1 level.     Chadwick is a tough, physical two-way player for Calhoun who could project at RB or LB. I watched a few Calhoun games this fall, and I was beyond impressed with Chadwick as a ball carrier at every stop. He is simply too physical and too much of a size/speed threat to be consistently handled by defenders. He is a tough yard getter and broke the game at times for Calhoun. Massive fan of this kid. A "take now, figure it out later" type of addition. Watching this guy closely.     Tillman is a stout 5'10 190 with a 10.84 100M PR, that alone is reason to be intrigued. He is a no nonsense runner who hits openings hard and doesn't deviate off that path. Recovers from contact and tackle attempts well, even if he isn't a true thumper.
