Simply put, the OL position group at the Prep Redzone WI Winter Showcase was stacked. A top tier 2027 won MVP in [player_tooltip player_id='1227023' first='Peyton' last='Schuster']. You can see him breakdown of the day in the MVP recap. The rest of the group came to play too. Juniors establishing themselves, sophomores breaking out, plus we there was a freshman that has put himself on the radar. The potential within this group has me excited or the depth of the position for years to come. So let's dive into the group and talk about their measurables, combine, and on the field performances.

Coaches, this is a 2028 to have on your boards. I have been looking forward to seeing him live since he hit my radar early this past season. Adrian is a legitimate OL specimen. He has a growing frame that already looks the part. The most impressive part is the OT has an unreal 6'9" wingspan. That length is hard to find, but what makes him more rare is that the 270 lbs athlete is rather light on his feet. He could get good depth in his pass protection and paired it with that elite length. Adrian took to the coaching really well, working on being more patient and trusting that next level athleticism he has. Adrian is raw, but he possesses special traits. Fluidity, mobility, flexibility, length, and the power to stuff a bull rush. I'm buying all the stock on this kid.

I was sleeping on the depth of the Wausau East roster. They had a strong showing last Sunday and among the group was standout OL [player_tooltip player_id='2057178' first='Elijah' last='DeMoss']. The 6'2" 250 lbs junior has a thick, powerful frame to win on the interior, but he also has great arm length with a 6'6" wingspan. The rising junior OL did well winning with his leverage and power. He has the knee and ankle flexibility to get underneath his man at those long arms are great levers to dig DL out of the trenches. Elijah could really shine on the interior at the next level and hope to see him at camps next spring/summer after an offseason of development.

Parker was one of my favorite OL from the day. He looks the part at 6'4" 255 lbs with a 6'5.5" wingspan and 10" hands. The big man also ran a 4.78 shuttle, which ended up being just the beginning of his display of mobility, agility, and quickness. Parker can move. He can slide laterally, change direction, or match speed around the edge. The big man is light on his feet, but doesn't sacrifice power. That is clear based off the Showcase performance and also from his sophomore highlights. This is another kid I would label as Need to Know. He is at a great point in his development for his age.

Ethan is another strong representative of the Class of 2028 OL position. The 6'2" 280 lbs sophomore has a 6'4" wingspan and 10.5" hands. Ethan is so big and stout, perfectly built for the interior. The KML OL has a fantastic anchor and a powerful, wide base that was standing up IDL all day. Ethan's leverage was fantastic, as was his ability to get his hands inside. The big man has some lateral mobility to his game too, even while engaged. The 2028 will be an IOL to have on your boards over these next two years.

This kid excites me so much on the OL. Obviously he is undersized, but you couldn't find a 1 on 1 rep from last Sunday where that affected his game. The 6'1" 220 lbs sophomore has a 6'5" wingspan, ran a 5.18 40, and a 4.53 shuttle. The 1 on 1s is where Jeremiah shined. Jeremiah is so athletic and flexible. He understands how to win with leverage because he does give up size. Between the leverage, active hands, and quick feet Jeremiah was able to stay locked on and square in front of his man all day long. The potential is there. I can't wait for him to really pop and continue growing into that frame.

I love the way Jaxon plays on the OL. The 6'1" 240 lbs junior OL has a 6'2.5" wingspan and 10" hands. If I had to describe Jaxon in one word it would be technician. Wide base, quick feet, strong base, active hands, accurate hand placement, staying square over his feet. It is so obvious that Jaxon is dedicated to his craft and figuring out how to maximize his abilities and give himself the advantage in his battles. It was great to watch him take on big DL and win the rep over and over.

Another impressive IOL is 2027 [player_tooltip player_id='1694370' first='Gavin' last='Cliver']. The 6'1" 300 lbs junior OL out of Mosinee had several great reps in 1 on 1 battles. As you could expect, Gavin is a big OL and with that comes power to stand up IDL. Once he set that anchor and got hands on he could overpower guys. What was impressive was how well he could also slide side to side at 300 lbs while engaged with the DL. His blend of power and mobility should earn him opportunities over this coming offseason. Keep an eye on him.

Kayden is an athlete I will be keeping an eye on. He is undersized right now at 6'2" 215 lbs. Kayden has a 6'3" wingspan and 9" hands. Despite the size limitations, Kayden has earned the left guard spot on the OL and last Sunday was able to win some battles with constantly keeping his feet and hands working to force DL to try and counter and giving them nightmares trying to get his hands down. It will be interesting to see if the sophomore can continue to add onto that frame.

We wrap things up with a look at a freshman that teams will want to be aware of. [player_tooltip player_id='2053668' first='Dominic' last='Cummings'] of Catholic Memorial had a solid day. He checked in at 6' 225 lbs with a 6'3" wingspan, and 9.5" hands. The 2029 recruit is definitely dedicated to his development. He puts in a ton of offseason work, and it translates. Dominic has an exciting base. His feet can get him depth, help him mirror pass rushers and react to their counter moves. As he gets stronger. and bigger the 2029 OL could really skyrocket with the attention to detail he has in his play. I'm excited for his future.
