Ethan plays on the OL and DL for the Chargers. He definitely makes his targets impact on the OL. There he plays OT, flipping side to side depending on the play call. It was very clear that the Chargers wanted to run behind Ethan as often as they could and it was easy to see why. The 6’2″ 280 lbs OL is quickly developing the traits for the next level. He has a very strong lower body that allowed him to move DL quickly. That power also gave him very effective short area burst and pair that with strong balance and you get a lineman who can overpower you or win with his positioning and leverage. Ethan is becoming a serious force in the trenches as a junior.

Ethan is another strong representative of the Class of 2028 OL position. The 6’2″ 280 lbs sophomore has a 6’4″ wingspan and 10.5″ hands. Ethan is so big and stout, perfectly built for the interior. The KML OL has a fantastic anchor and a powerful, wide base that was standing up IDL all day. Ethan’s leverage was fantastic, as was his ability to get his hands inside. The big man has some lateral mobility to his game too, even while engaged. The 2028 will be an IOL to have on your boards over these next two years.

Only a sophomore, Ethan has been a longtime favorite of mine. He brings a lot of mass to the field, but it doesn’t hinder his play. The 2028 looks like he is built for life on the interior at the next level. He has efficient and quick movement in short areas, plays with leverage, and can instantly set his anchor and stand up big IDL. Setzer also brings some range to get up to an LB too, but right now he is at his best getting his hands on level one and dominating them in the trenches. Check out the Week 2 tape!

One of the top OL to know in the Class of 2028 is Ethan Setzer Ethan Setzer 6'2" | 280 lbs | OL Kettle Moraine Lutheran | 2028 State WI out of Kettle Moraine Lutheran. Ethan is already building up an impressive frame for the position, but the excitement for his size doesn’t compare to how excited I get for him when the action started. The first big takeaway was in the run game battles. In those head to head fights Ethan impressed with his flexibility in his ankles and knees allowing him to get himself in positions of leverage while also utilizing his full length to maximize the power he could unload on the DL. His feet never quit either and his hands always seemed to find the inside positioning allowing him to control his opponent. This camp performance only got me more excited for the coming development of Ethan.

Coming in at an impressive 6’3″ 270 lbs, Ethan is one of the top student athletes to keep an eye on in this Class. He made a big impact on the OL and DL in his first season of HS football. His size comes loaded up with power, he does well playing with his hands. He possesses a surprising burst off the line. Ethan also already does well trying to win with leverage and body positioning. If he continues to grow and works on his game we could see him continue to climb right into the Top 10 overall players.
