One last look at our live evals from the Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase in Aberdeen a couple Sundays ago as we stayed with the wide receivers and tight ends that caught our attention via our notebook. We found, our WR MVP with a great route tree, a TE MVP that is destined to be TE1 in the class, 2028 WR with speed on the track, and much more

One of the most intriguing 2029 wide receiver that also boosted stellar size for his age, was [player_tooltip player_id='1760484' first='Isaac' last='Roach'] of Sioux Falls Jefferson. He was one of the best finishers on his routes out of the underclassmen group in my eyes. Another area that Isaac thrived in for his age, was his hands as I would put his hands amongs tthe best out of the 2029 class in attendance as well. He also has the twitch I look for off the top of his route. Will be a ranked 2029 WR in South Dakota here very soon.

A multi-time returner to the Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase already as a 2028 athlete and the best tight end in the class right now, was [player_tooltip player_id='1575892' first='Cole' last='Kieffer'] of Lyman. I love the growth Cole has made a a route-runner since the last time we saw him in Aberdeen as he is becoming more well-rounded with his skillsets at the tight end position. Off the eye test of watching Cole during 1v1s and Indy, I swear this young man got a longer catch radius since the last time at our Dakotas Showcase, which is encougaging to see for this All-State tight end as a sophomore for the Raiders. A lot of upside to fill out Cole's frame should enligthen college coaches upcoming.

Another Sioux Falls Area wide receiver that impressed me and the college staffs in attendance was Sioux Falls O'Gorman 2028 wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1616931' first='Tanner' last='Charron']. You might not find a ton of tape on Tanner, but the live eval was certainly eye-catching. I liked how Tanner processed with his instincts as a route-runner as one that seemed above his age group in that skillset. The more reps I felt this young man got, the better he got with shows a quick bar of development. He's certainly a speedster to know in this 2028 WR class that ran a 11.03 (freshmen school record) 22.46 ( freshmen school record) and 400-meter dash 50.77 (freshmen school record) that has a high bar for speed off the top of his routes which we saw.

A new name that was a top performer at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase last Sunday in Aberdeen was Dickinson 2027 wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='2072765' first='Shane' last='Cianni']. Shane was a springy route runner off the top of his route that knew how to win reps with timing with use of his change of direction time and time again at our showcase. He tested in the pro-shuttle at 4.34 and went 7.08 in the L-drill which were both on our Dakotas leadership for top testers with the Universal Speed Rating. If you want to talk about a wide receiver prospect at our showcase that popped out their athletic catch radius, you have to talk about Shane as he had one of the best in that regard that I saw. He was an immediate add on to my 2027 North Dakota recruiting board that I am glad I got on our radar at our Prep Redzone Dakotas.

The lone Minnesota athlete in attendance put Minnesota on the map for sure, as one of our top performers at the tight end position. It was enlightening to see the position flexibility Colten possessed for his size as he showed off as a smoother route-runner than I had envisioned and knew how to catch the ball in tight windows on short and intermediate routes. I said pre-showcase that I was going to be intrigued on what side of the ball Colten showed off as at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase. His size as exactly as advertised as a tight end that stretched out with a 6'4 wingspan and is filling out with how to utilize it to his advantage. Hopefully with his junior tape coming thru soon, he could be a SW Minnesota prospect to gain more ground on the recruiting trail.

Cameron was surely one of the biggest stockrisers I had logged from in the 2027 North Dakota class from our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase in Aberdeen. The verified 6'3 191 pounder ran a 4.68 40-yard dash, 4.54 pro shuttle, and 7.24 in the L-drill as when you look at Cameron on testing numbers alone you can gauge the consistency that he has with his speed and change of direction. With the several reps I got to watch out of Cameron the seperation ability stuck out of like glue, as his length he has with his very long strides and agile movement got him ample seperation in just about everyrep I watched as there was a plethora of well-versed skillsets he showed off. North Dakota is starting to look a little stacked in thier 2027 WR group especially within this top 5.

-TE MVP

Great pass-catchers came in pairs at the wide receiver and tight end positions, as the West Central Trojans took home two MVPs in both spots as [player_tooltip player_id='2081571' first='Boche' last='Knight'] took our WR MVP and a new name for me at tight end in the 2028 class, [player_tooltip player_id='2054941' first='Tanner' last='Wagner'] took our TE MVP. The verified 6'5 225 pounder, knew how to utilze his 6'7 wingspan to his advantage in the bulk of the reps I was able to watch on Sunday in Aberdeen. He also was more fluid than you would expect with his change of direction on his routes and that showed to be consistent via testing. He is one that I can't wait to see what the rest of his tape looks like in the coming years as one of a handful of 2028s that made noise as an MVP on the offenisve side of the ball. I can't wait to see what the Division I schools think of him at camps this summer.

-WR MVP

Boche is a wide receiver that got onto our Prep Redzone Dakotas radar within the last couple months and based on watching the tape, I was fired up not only that he was coming to our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase, but also came away with our WR MVP which was surely well deserved based on what I watched all day in Aberdeen. He by far ran the most effective route-tree amongst wide receivers in the building and the college coaches I talked to couldn't get enough of watching this young man utilize his air time with his vertical. I loved watching the excellent presence Boche played with no matter what sized DB he went up against in 1v1s, Boche was a route-runner that brought that fearless demeanor against any competition. He picked up the first offer that came from his play at our showcase, as the offensive staff from Northern State were quite intrigued by what he showed off. Boche also placed second on our Universal Speed Rating scoreboard in the 40 yard dash with a 4.56. Surely a young man in this 2027 class you need to know this summer.
