Prep Redzone AL's 2025 All-State Team: WR Selections

What an incredible season! With the year coming to an end, it's time for us to give our All-State selections!   Today, we're focusing on some of the most dominant WRs in the state!   You won't want to miss out on this group of talent. Be sure to check out their film below. Now, here we go:   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">7A</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='440308' first='Darion' last='Moseley'] was one of our breakout stars of the season. The junior WR dominated the 7A all year long over at Thompson.   "Moseley is a big WR who thrives on his speed and route-running. He gains tons of separation from DBs at every level of the field, consistently making huge plays against some talented 7A secondaries. Moseley is highly versatile in his team's offenses- lining up inside/outside and completely bullying opposing DBs with his combination of size and speed.   Moseley does a great job taking advantage of smaller DBs- frequently on tape you'll find him winning one-on-one matchups for the ball, fighting through contact, and making huge catches over the tops of defenders."   This season, Moseley hauled in 68 receptions for 1128 yards and 7 TDs- constantly making the most of every opportunity out wide.   Everyone needs to have eyes on Moseley heading into next season. He'll be one of the top WRs in the state this coming year.     <h2 class="wp-block-heading">6A</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='1314932' first='DeShawn' last='Spencer'] was a do-it-all star for Saraland this past season, making countless plays against some of the top defenses in the 6A all year long.   “Spencer has some fantastic speed and acceleration; he can easily outrun entire defenses and makes it look effortless. Paired with his speed, Spencer is extremely elusive- he frequently makes defenders miss in the open field and has a ton of different moves that allow him to break away for huge runs.   Spencer also plays with a lot of physicality- he doesn't shy away from contact, can withstand some big hits, and is a physical runner between the tackles.“   Spencer had an outstanding senior season for Saraland, bringing in 94 receptions for 1709 yards and 21 TDs through the air, and loads of other huge plays on the ground as well.   I became a huge fan of Spencer's this season. He was a huge piece of Saraland's offense and is set up for an exciting career at the next level. Be sure to check out some of his film below.     <h2 class="wp-block-heading">5A</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='1988173' first='Dylan' last='Jackson'] really made his mark over at Vigor this season- dominating some tough 5A secondaries and consistently providing a spark out wide the whole year.   "At 5'8 170, Jackson has the speed and quickness to make some impressive plays out wide. He's quick out of his releases, runs great routes, and finds separation all over the field. It's really tough for DBs to stay with him; he's always getting open.   Jackson also has a great set of hands and some great skills after the catch. He can secure some tough-to-catch passes through coverage and contact, and has the speed, elusiveness, and change of direction to turn upfield for huge gains."   We talked about Jackson a lot throughout this season, and there's a reason why. He came away with 67 receptions for 1390 yards and 17 TDs on the year, pairing up greatly with QB [player_tooltip player_id='1603640' first='Sammy' last='Dunn']. You won't be disappointed.     <h2 class="wp-block-heading">4A</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='1408975' first='Brody' last='Jones'] is an electric WR out of Saint Michael Catholic who's staying put as our All-State selection in the 4A.   Jones is extremely good at getting open- he finds ways to gain separation against all types of defensive backs, at every level of the field, in every game. Jones is a great route runner- he has a quick release, gets out of his breaks, and constantly finds ways to shake off DBs at or beyond the line of scrimmage.   When open, Jones does a great job securing catches and making defenders miss after the catch- he does a great job avoiding unnecessary contact and can make a ton of plays with the ball in his hands.    Jones put together another huge season with Gunnar Rivers. This year, Jones brought in 71 receptions for 1056 yards and 18 TDs.   Jones, a South Alabama signee, has a bright future ahead at the next level. He's a talented player with some really exciting tape you can watch below. Make sure to take a look:     <h2 class="wp-block-heading">3A</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='1355857' first='Cedrick' last='Simmons'] is an electric WR out of Southside who's maintaining his spot as our top WR in the 3A.   "Simmons is a quick wide receiver who gains tons of separation from his route-running. It's really impressive watching Simmons play as an underclassman- he already has a strong understanding of defenses and what he needs to do to take advantage of them.   Simmons also has a great set of hands that enable him to consistently make catches, regardless of his position on the field. He can get open easily and is a constant threat to secondaries no matter what route he runs."   Last fall, Simmons hauled in a ridiculous 106 receptions for 2192 yards and 20 TDs for Southside's passing attack.   I've been seriously impressed with how Simmons has performed these last two years. He's a talented young player with another huge year on the horizon. Be sure to check out some of his film below:     <h2 class="wp-block-heading">2A</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='1196862' first='Alijah' last='Woods'] dominated every team Reeltown faced in the 2A this season, consistently making game-changing plays all year long.   "Woods has been highly productive as both an electric wide receiver and hard-hitting strong safety. Woods is coming off a big freshman season that saw him make a ton of plays out wide and in coverage.   He plays with a bunch of speed, aggression, and physicality that separate him from others on the field. Woods constantly finds himself around the ball making plays- he consistently gains separation and makes catches, and is a terrific tackler that can make plays on the ball in coverage as well."   Woods was unstoppable this year, bringing in 32 receptions for 792 yards and 10 TDs on the year, with several huge plays on the opposite side of the ball as well.   Woods was one of the standout players in the 2A this season. Don't miss out on him and make sure to watch some of his film down below:     <h2 class="wp-block-heading">1A</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='1993824' first='Jacory' last='Yelder'] is a star in the making in the 1A. What he did for Leroy's passing attack this season was nothing short of impressive.   "At 5'11 160, Yelder plays with a ton of speed and quickness outside. He's a talented route runner who consistently gains separation and makes huge plays after the catch. I'm really impressed with how Yelder can shift and change his direction in the open field. He's an electric playmaker outside.   Yelder also brings a ton of value to special teams as a returner. He's terrific at finding lanes and using his speed to get upfield and put the ball in great starting field position. Whenever Yelder has the ball in his hands, you can expect good things to happen."   Yelder was unstoppable this year, racking up 37 receptions for 817 yards and 9 TDs on the season.
