Woods plays all over the field for Reeltown and is one of, if not the most productive player in Alabama, all things considered. He picked up an offer from Samford last week, and I am expecting more to come his way this offseason. Woods is a functional athlete and an obvious gamer. On both sides of the ball, he tracks it well, flashes impressive ball skills, and has outstanding body control for his size. A fun player who can do it all.

Woods was unstoppable this year, bringing in 32 receptions for 792 yards and 10 TDs, with another 77 total tackles (7 for loss), one sack, and 4 INTs/4 FRs on defense.

With receiver-like ball skills and six interceptions to show for it, Woods plays like a DB who expects — not hopes — to take the football away. He’s calm and composed when matching routes, tracking throws with soft hands and late-phase poise.

He’s comfortable in both man and zone- showing light feet and the speed to stay hip-to-hip with most receivers. However what standouts on tape is Woods aggressive at the catch point when it’s time to finish plays. He gets greedy at the catchpoint and doesn’t mind getting physical to earn the ball.

Woods was unstoppable again this year, recording 60 carries for 892 yards and 17 TDs on the ground, 28 receptions for 717 yards and 9 TDs, and several huge stops on defense.

All of this was easy to see last year- Woods ended his freshman season with 15 carries for 107 yards and a touchdown as well as 37 total tackles (34 solo, one for loss), one sack, and three interceptions. Watch out for Woods this fall, he’s coming off a really good first year as a starter and is set up for a big sophomore season for Reeltown this fall!
