Expert Analysis
Josh White | Prep Redzone Scout
Smith is one of the more natural deep-ball throwers you’ll come across. He consistently drops the ball into the bucket with placement that favors his receiver, especially on outside shoulder throws. His mechanics stay fluid whether he’s in the pocket or working off-platform, which allows him to maintain accuracy without needing perfect structure. There’s a confidence in how he attacks vertically — he trusts his arm and gives his receivers chances to make plays.
He shows advanced touch on intermediate routes, layering the ball over linebackers and in front of safeties. His spiral and velocity stay consistent, which helps receivers track the ball cleanly. There’s a good understanding of spacing and leverage, especially when attacking one-on-one matchups.

Jermarkius Smith is a dominant QB out of Reeltown who helped lead his team to a 2A state title last fall.
“Smith is an extremely efficient passer who finds ways to move the chains every snap. Smith has some serious arm talent, is decisive, and dissects opposing secondaries extremely well- frequently coming away with massive gains downfield and never putting the ball in harm’s way.
Smith is also pretty mobile and can extend plays/make plays with his feet when necessary, which is a huge advantage for him when facing pressure. It’s really impressive watching Smith lead his offense- he sees the field well, takes what the defense gives him, and leads a ton of successful drives for Reeltown’s offense.“
Smith was one of the state’s leading passers last season, completing 94/166 passing attempts for 2191 yards and 34 TDs to only 4 INTs, with 44 carries for 260 yards and 2 TDs on the ground.
After what he accomplished last fall, there was no doubt Smith would land as our preseason selection. Smith is a talented passer with a big season in store over at Reeltown- make sure you watch some of his film below:

High-profile baseball prospect. T92 fastball. Thin, quick-footed, fleet athlete. A lot of juice on the ball. Quick, violent arm action. Natural thrower. Might need to coach back some of his velo. Might not find a guy who throws the ball harder than him. Good ATH context too. Would be interested in seeing him throw up close and personal. The drive ball is sharp.

Would rather have to coach that out of a kid, though. Might not find a guy who throws the ball harder than him. Good ATH context too. Want to see him up close.
