Running backs, linebackers, offensive linemen, and defensive linemen were the focus of the morning session at the Prepredzone Minnesota Stock Up Showcase. I will be highlighting other position groups over the next week to ten days, but to start, here are the running backs who stood out to me.

This is not an end-all list of who performed well. I am sure I missed a lot of solid play simply because I happened to be looking at a group to my right while someone on my left did something that would make Aaron Jones blush.

[player_tooltip player_id='1657342' first='Jobey' last='Tvedt'] RB Pequot Lakes 5'6 160

Tvedt showed good quickness in every situation. With a low center of gravity, he was able ot make a great cut back to find space. He showed his quickness and speed out in a pass pattern. During the best on best segment, Tvedt made a diving catch that was just as impressive as any of the wide receivers later in the day.

[player_tooltip player_id='1120506' first='Adam' last='Kobetsky'] RB Fertile-Beltrami 5'7 150

More than once, Kobetsky used his quickness and low center of gravity to create space and leave defenders grasping for air.

[player_tooltip player_id='1655336' first='Tyshone' last='Jenkins'] RB Minneapolis North 6' 200

Jenkins has the quickness of a smaller guy. But with his big frame, he can run through tackles rather than just around them. There was no tackling, of course, but this fall, he has the build to punish tacklers.

[player_tooltip player_id='1075477' first='Edwin' last='Ekah'] RB Centennial 5'11 190

Another back with the combination of quickness and good size, Ekah ran a nice route out of the backfield. He made a sharp cut to leave the defender behind. He showed the ability to adjust to the ball on a deep route. Later, I saw him run another great route, getting easy separation from the defensive back.

[player_tooltip player_id='2060368' first='Graham' last='Delger'] RB Chanhassen 5'9 165

Delger showed great feet. He can come out of breaks without having to slow down as much as other backs I watched on Sunday. The ability to come out of his breaks smoothly was on display when he cut back to get into open space.

[player_tooltip player_id='1247065' first='Benjamin' last='Bergan'] RB Blaine 6'2 235

Bergan was one of the bigger running backs at the Showcase. With his size comes the obvious physicality, but he also has good hands out of the backfield. He has deceptive speed and has the agility and good feet of someone 40 pounds lighter.

[player_tooltip player_id='1370533' first='Sean' last='Lassahn'] RB New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva 5'8 180

I wish I had seen more of Lassahn. Like Tvedt, Lassahn made a one-handed catch that would have made the receivers coming later in the day blush.

[player_tooltip player_id='1894343' first='Luke' last='Watkins'] RB Prior Lake 5'11 180

Watkins' speed allowed him to separate from defenders. His athletic ability allowed him to adjust to a pass while running a deep route. Showing he has all the skills needed to be a dual-threat running back, he showed good hands catching a deep route.

[player_tooltip player_id='1581351' first='Chase' last='Tweit'] RB Minnesota Valley Lutheran 5'7 168

Coming out of the backfield, Tweit used his quickness and athleticism to come out of his break, leaving the defender only able to trail his route.

[player_tooltip player_id='1633473' first='Hanley' last='Neumann'] RB Hutchinson 5'9 150

Neumann showed versatile skills all morning – the highlight being a contested catch he stole from a linebacker during the best-on-best portion of the morning.
