has been making waves this spring on the outdoor track and field circuit. A PrepRedzoneMN winter showcase top performer who put up some impressive athletic times during testing and proved himself to be dynamic and effective in space and as a 1v1 route runner out of the backfield, Neumann has really upped the speed and explosiveness into the spring, PRing with a eye-catching 10.86 100M at the WCC Pent-HLWW meet on April 21st. Neumann has also added sprints of 11.03, 11.30, and 11.32 100Ms during this outdoor season, platforming himself for what could be a breakout season in 2026 with his Tigers. Neumann, in a crowded Hutchinson backfield last season, posted 35 rushes for 272 yards and 4 TDs as a junior, and although he’s lacking in tape and film from the fall, you don’t have to be an expert to think that the in-person evaluation and impressive athletic times combine and make for what could be a massive senior campaign in Class 4A.

caught our scouts’ attention for his impressive performance during the Stock-Up Showcase event back in December, noting his 4.63 40 yard dash, his 4.43 shuttle, and his 9’11” broad jump, indicating very much his dynamic athleticism which should translate well on the field next season. Neumann has continued to flash his speed over this offseason with his performance in track, having won 5 varsity track events this year, including 3 individual events. Neumann has proven himself well as an effective slot DB who shows great instincts and tracks the ball down with ease along as a strong RB supporting the Tigers’ potent run-game with his sharp agility, change of direction, and quick strides to race past defenders into the open field. Neumann may see some more carries headed his way this season along with his reps on the secondary, and he should easily remain as one of the Tigers’ most important cornerstones on the gridiron entering his senior season.

Hanley made most his biggest impact on the defensive side of the ball despite being graded as a defensive back at the moment. He was one of the more intriguing athletes the Tigers had in their secondary based on the key plays I watched him make as a defensive back. The first skillset that popped out with Hanley was how balanced he was as a ball tracker when the ball was thrown his way, as he showed off a good poise and footwork to slow the wide receiver on their route. Another area that stood out for Hanley, was his proficent tackling ability right away when the ball carrier reached the second level as he was usually the first to the ball on numerous reps I watched when the ball got there.

Verified athleticism? Check. Coming out of one of Minnesota’s biggest recruiting hotbeds? Check. Varsity reps as a sophomore? Check. Maybe the fastest 40 in the class? Check.
Hutchinson is stocked full of underclassmen talent right now, and as one of the state’s most consistent producers of college-ready talent, I think there’s more than enough to get excited about in sophomore

. Your classic traditionally undersized yet ultra-explosive tailback/athlete, Neumann can flat-out fly, posting a dazzling 4.57 40 at the TrainingHAUS Combine (that may be laser), as well as a 4.58 and 4.65 on the summer camp circuit, plus a 4.44 and 4.45 shuttle, 9’6 and 9’9 broad jump for an overwhelmingly positive and impressive athletic portfolio. Additionally, he posted 13 rushes for 91 yards and a TD with the Tigers‘ varsity in 2024, helping to provide a foundation of experience and success that should serve him well as the sophomore heads into what should be a breakout junior campaign. Sadly, we haven’t see Neumann live, he hasn’t uploaded any film, and he doesn’t have any active social media, so for now he will continue to stay intriguing and in the dark.
