The state of Georgia has some "dawgs," as the newer generation says. Especially on the defensive side of the football, as they have been able to be one of the better states when it comes to taking the ball away. The state of Georgia continues to get better and better, as the state of Georgia is near the top when it comes to ball-hawking. Here are five names you need to know entering the next season, who will ball-hawk to the best of their ability.

Tillmon is a major ball hawk. He finished this season with five interceptions, and he was very productive as a defensive back as a whole. He isn't the biggest prospect, which typically means he needs to play as a slot, safety, or simply in a flexed-out star position. He played in some of these roles, and I have started to believe that he has a chance to be a true and dominant free safety. That being as he will torture QBs who take the bait, throwing near a deep zone, and he is someone who can break to the ball quick. Breaking on a cut can have its perks and also its flaws, but this season, it showed how confident he is in his game. Absolutely electric season, and he is set for another one come next year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1604611' first='George' last='Murray'] is a guy who made the most of his opportunities and led this team as a junior. He is a ball-hawking defensive back from the state of Georgia, who finished the season with a total of three interceptions. He has ball-tracking skills like a center fielder or a free safety. He has quickly become a guy who can be reliable with cutting guys off on deep routes, as he even had a play this season where he took an angle to cut off a go route without making much contact. He is someone who plays for the ball, and that was good enough to be recognized on this list.

The safety prospect has been able to flex out to many different positions, even coming off the edge. He is as physical as you would hope, and has some fluid hips backtracking. Would be dangerous in the press, which is always a plus, but the best feature about him is his ability to extend for the ball. His catch radius is the best on this list, as he can reach a higher point than anyone else on this list. Workman has another year with more DB reps, but it will become more visible how dominant he can be at the position when that is the case.

Rowe finished the season with a team-high four interceptions, as he is someone who was highlighted as a top ball-hawking defensive back in the state of Georgia. Rowe is a guy who baited many QBs, which is where the majority of the interceptions came from, as he had to put himself in a position to make a play rather than just being in the right place at the right time. That's what you like to see out of a defensive back with his size. He has another season, which makes me believe he is on the verge of becoming a top-gem DB in the state of Georgia.

Rankin is one of the most hidden gems in the state of Georgia out of Brunswick High School. He is someone who has quickly become a top ball-hawk in the state and has been one of the state's best players as a whole. He is someone who brings solid size and has quick hips. One of my favorite defensive backs in the state of Georgia. Rankin is someone who I believe will be a fast riser, and I have him valued as a future college guy. Rankin playing safety is already one thing, but his ability to play cornerback, especially in press... I'm a HUGE fan.
