For other players, however, the evaluation process can be fairly simple. In the case of Culp, he was a guy we'd seen multiple times in a camp setting when he weighed closer to 250 pounds than 300 pounds. We'd remark, "This kid is great, imagine if he put on some more good weight." His athleticism and quickness make him ideal for Davidson's scheme. Broome really improved as he grew and became more comfortable at left tackle. He then followed those playoff performances with a Shrine Bowl outing that turned some heads.
