Easton might not be the biggest offensive guard at the moment, but this young man can surely pack a punch and get into the second level as well. He developed nicely in his junior season with his pass protection and is surely one that you will see on our upcoming 2027 South Dakota rankings board.

On the first few reps you see on tape from Skyler, you can see quickly how much he overwhelms his defenders with his strength and balanced hand control. His growth he's made from a year ago is solid from what I see out of his first step as he's gotten more fluid with his foot speed out his stance. I like this young man making a solid move up in our 2027 rankings coming out this winter.

If you like two-way athletes in this class, you will like this 2027 class coming out of Spearfish, including [player_tooltip player_id='1300029' first='Graham' last='Hughes']. Out of the backfield, he's gotten more fluid than a year ago and I also see growth with his vision and patience between the tackles. Where he impressed me most on tape was at corner, as you can quickly tell he has a well-versed affecting passing lanes and getting down a level to stop the run. He is one that I feel is our watchlist that will be a steady riser in this class.

One of the biggest movers I have with our 2027 class coming out of Spearfish surely is QB/ATH [player_tooltip player_id='1300031' first='Thomas' last='Hughes']. He logged 26 total touchdowns as a junior (13 pass, 12 rush and 1 on defense) and showing as one of the most elsuive dual-threat quarterbacks in this 2027 SD that can not only get away from pressure, but utilze it for big chunk plays, as Thomas had one against Tea Area that he took for 93 yards to the house. Surely shows off as an athlete that can play just about anywhere in the secondary or in a handful of spots on the offensive side of the ball at the next-level.

Our DB2 in the 2027 class not only continued as a threat in the Spartans defensive secondary, but was as much of an asset offensive in thier receiving core. The 6'3 195 pounder wastes no time showing off the athleticism that is at his disposal with the first two plays on his midseason tape, and shows off a great route tree on deep and intermediate routes as a WR that knows how to utilize that size to his advantage.

If you want to talk about a long reach, you don't have to wait long to see it with [player_tooltip player_id='1289261' first='Kade' last='Vavruska'] of Spearfish. The 6'4 190 pounder, is such a mismatch on intermediate and deep routes against the secondary with his growing length that he very tough to get his hands on with how long his strides you see after the catch. You can bet that with this receiving core and their quarterback all returning for their senior season, that Spearfish is certainly a 11AA team we have locked as one to watch in 2026.
