South Dakota Class 11B 2028s to Know

The 6'0 185 pounder has great range that carries from sideline to sideline as one of the best 2028s the Cossacks offer in this class. He's intrigues me with his athleticism and shows off the physical tackling ability which comes to fruition when he's at the point of attack on first contact. He's relatively raw with his throwing mechanics at the moment, but the tape shows that Andrew has the precision to get the ball downhill to his receivers inside and outside of tight windows. Another area that standouts with Andrew on tape, is his poise in the pocket as when the pocket starts to closes, he impressed me for his age with the quick release getting out of a jam. It doesn't take long to draw the attention to the agility this kid boosts on both sides of the ball in the running game offensively and getting around blockers with that change of direction into solid pursuit angles at the point of attack as a linebacker. It's hard to miss the physiclaity that Connor displays with his tackling ability as he's a constant hard-hitter when he gets his hands on the ball carrier in the run game. I've read about this young man on the wrestling mat this morning, but this is the first time I have gotten a look on tape and even though the tape is light, you can see the upside that this kid has on the gridiron. The 5'11 205 pounder passes the eye test almost right away, and impressed with his lateral movement he displays on tape. He shows off a linebacker that can get to the edges and make plays with his athleticism. If you want to talk about violence at the point of attack, Addison brings a heck of a lot of it clip after clip from his sophomore tape. At last Spring's Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase, from the numerous college coaches I talked to at all levels, just about all them that were evaluating offensive linemen had him as one of their first mentions as a freshmen. He's gotten more fluid with his footwork since then and is not one you want to meet as a pull blocker with the barrelling power he brings in space.
