Kade came in as our ATH1 in the 2027 South Dakota class and I felt his live eval did him the justice as to why we he’s the best athlete in the state. Obviously playing on both sides of the ball, Kade has the instinctive nature but the translation I saw last Saturday in Sioux Falls, surely sees the fit for him at the wide receiver position with his great length he can bring to the wide receiver room. The 6’1 203 pounder showed off a 75.5′ wingspan and Kade also tested really well for his size finishing in the top 14 or better in every testing category. He jumped an 8’10 broad jump (14th), 4.93 in the 40-yard dash (13th) and his best numbers came with the change of direction in testing, 7.28 in the L-drill (7th) and pro agility he ran a 4.5 good for 6th overall at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase. With a couple offers under his belt at the D2 level already, there’s no doubt that there’s more attention coming his way as we hit the throttle into camp season.

Another top athlete that will be in attendance in Sioux Falls at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase on Saturday, will be Spearfish’s Kade Vavruska Kade Vavruska 6'1" | 203 lbs | ATH/WR Spearfish | 2027 State SD . He’s rated as our ATH1 in the 2027 class in what is one of my favorite 2027 groups in the state. Kade boosts excellent length in with his long wingspan and surely in his junior season has learned how to utilize it to his advantage as this young man has grown his frame a ton since he first got on our rankings board a couple years ago. Kade also turned even more of a corner in his junior season getting more yards after contact as you’ll see on tape it takes a plethora of tacklers to get this young man on the turf. If I were a Division 1 school recruiting the West River, this young man would be next up on my board in the region.

If you want to talk about a long reach, you don’t have to wait long to see it with Kade Vavruska Kade Vavruska 6'1" | 203 lbs | ATH/WR Spearfish | 2027 State SD of Spearfish. The 6’4 190 pounder, is such a mismatch on intermediate and deep routes against the secondary with his growing length that he very tough to get his hands on with how long his strides you see after the catch. You can bet that with this receiving core and their quarterback all returning for their senior season, that Spearfish is certainly a 11AA team we have locked as one to watch in 2026.
