Coach Garr, and his Garnets looked for glory Friday night, as the veteran coach hoped to claim his first career Section 1 Championship. With wind and rain surrounding the beautiful Mahopac turf, the Tuskers, and the Garnets went to battle for the second time this season, this time with a Championship on the line. After a slow first half, and a score reading 10-6 in favor of Somers, the Garnets took over the second half, and picked up a massive 40-17 victory over the Tuskers to claim the Section One Title. With an impressive win, let's look at what we saw from the Garnets sideline during the win.

Prep Redzone's Winter Showcase is back for 2025 with more locations than ever. His throws were accurate, and on 50/50 balls, he placed them in perfect grasp of his receivers. I liked his mobility, and outside of the pocket, he drew defenders eyes on every play, as he is a true rushing threat. Miller is easily a QB, who should be playing on Saturday's.

Shoemaker is a beast. It feels like he adds glue to his gloves, with how well he catches the ball. On 50/50 balls, forget about it, Shoemaker has it. His speed, and route running are also elite, as the Senior WR, is gone after passing the first defender. Lewis stands at 6'2" 175-Pounds, and easily is a top target for Miller om offense.

Lewis is a speed threat, and I like his footwork on routes. He displays a solid route tree, and gaining separation from defenders seems to be a strong suit for the WR. I like Lewis more eon offense, and his hands are solid. Brady played mainly WR, and DB against Somers, and had a solid impact on the game.

Brady displayed solid hands, and I like his ability to catch the ball through contact, and in traffic. Not only can he kick and punt, but the Junior, has taken multiple snaps on kick/punt returns, and on both offense and defense.

He is mainly a punter, and I think he can easily play at the D1 Level. The Junior has an over 4 second hang time and can bomb punts into oblivion. He had two punts against Somers, and battled heavy win and a decent amount of rain. Fenton in my opinion, is the next best Aussie Punter.
