Steinmann, has been the Senior Defensive Leader for the Garnets this season. Rye’s defense has also been elite, and the Garnets have been able to run through the playoffs and the regular season, allowing more then 21 points just three times, and allowing 21 points over two playoff games. Against a strong offense, controlling the line, and limiting the offense will be huge, and Carsten will have a major impact in that category.

Steinmann, was a focal point for the Rye Defense, and he also split snaps as an OL during the game. The Senior, projects more as LB, but I can also see him as an EDGE in certain systems.
Steinmann, has incredible strength and was a dominant force on the defensive side of the ball. Playing against an option attack, is hard for a LB, as he is player getting read on most plays. Steinmann, had a good day, with a solid IQ, reading the Somers Offense, and moving sideline to sideline for tackles.

is the anchor on this defense. The LB, had an outstanding game on the back end. He is an outstanding prospect with good size, and is one of the main reasons this Rye defense has flourished this season.
Steinmann, called out multiple plays, and reset players in positions, he has outstanding vision, and a good IQ. He was a great tackler, and met his opponents, with force and strength driving them back to the ground.

. Standing at 6’1″ 215 pounds, he displays a solid build for the LB position.
On tape he is a true LB, but he does show the ability to lineup on the LOS and take on blockers. He has solid block shedding moves and uses his size to his advantage. He has good hands and uses them to his advantage in block shedding reps. He is an exceptional tackler and can move sideline to sideline while tracking plays.
He was a solid contributor on a dominant Rye team last season. With his pure athleticism, he has exceptional traits that should lead to a dominant Senior Season.

was a really solid contributor to a state championship Rye ream and the LB prospect showcases the ability to play with physicality and did not show any signs of not being able to handle playing against varsity offensive lineman. Steinmann is not afraid to take on blockers and use his hands and strength to shed blocks. Steinmann does a good job of finishing tackles and can move laterally really well. Steinmann is still developing as an athlete but there was some intriguing tape and production as one of the few underclassmen who contributed to a state championship team.
