He may be slightly undersized, but Alston is a playing cover back with terrific ball skills with natural instinct in coverage. He runs well, can really jump, and does a great job of getting his head turned around down the field and finding the ball. When he does, he knows how to make a play on it. In addition to making 20 tackles, Alston has picked off six passes this year. He intercepted a jaw-dropping four passes against Glenn Hills and picked of two more against Heritage. He'll see a new ranking come his way in the next 2028 Prep Redzone rankings.

A do-it-all small-town athlete who can do just about anything for his Jeff Davis team, Durden is an electric playmaker with the ball on offense and a true playmaker with a nose for the ball on defense. He plays hard, he's one of the fastest players in the region, and has been a major weapon all over the field this fall as a sophomore. Defensively, Durden's natural athleticism and strong hands have been on full display as he's picked off five passes so far this season. He's also made 37 tackles and forced one fumble while accounting for over 500 yards on offense. He's having a fantastic second season and will be an easy addition to the next 2029 Prep Redzone rankings.

Another small-town defensive back with natural playmaking ability, Carroll's stock is on the rise as he's having a really productive junior season where he's made plays in all three phases of the game. He's a ball-hawk with good size and easy Power Four talent at 5-foot-10 175-pounds. He's accounted for 726 all-purpose yards this season and has been a game-changer in the secondary, picking off five passes and breaking up five more in coverage while making 23 tackles. He's one of the top 2028 prospects in the area and should see some significant offers come his way this winter along with a bump in his Prep Redzone ranking.

A fantastic sophomore on the rise in Gwinnett County Goley is a natural athlete with a lengthy frame and the ability to high-point the football. He covers a lot of ground, shows impressive instincts for his age, and knows how to come down with an acrobatic catch. He's one of the top young defensive back prospects in the region and has been a real weapon this fall in the secondary. The 6-foot-1 175-pounder from Dacula has picked off four passes in coverage while breaking up seven more. He's also made 18 tackles in addition to his excellent play against the pass. Like the others, Goley will be added to the upcoming 2028 Prep Redzone rankings this winter.

A big name to know in North Fulton having a really strong sophomore season, Winsley has been a consistently impactful player this fall for one of the best programs in the state. He's a natural in coverage with impressive ball-skills and big-play ability, picking off four passes against really quality competition. He's also made 32 tackles and has shown easy Power Four talent. As good as he is already, Wonsley should be even better as a junior next fall and beyond. He's a 2028 defensive back who should see a big jump in the next Prep Redzone rankings update.
