Better yet, a couple of young DBs stepped up big-time, forcing some of the most clutch PBUs I've seen this season.

I was incredibly impressed with what I saw out of Sophomore DB Braylon Cofield. Against one of Belleville's best receivers, Braylon was able to force a PBU on a short crosser and another clutch PBU near the endzone. He was extremely sticky against an elite Belleville receiving core- flat-out good footwork, and super patient. Plus, he had the precice ball skills to break up passes against some of the best receivers in Michigan.

This week, Braylon is up against another elite QB and receiving core. Saline is going to be extremely tough to stop- can't wait to see what Braylon accomplishes!

Drew was a big name in last year's postseason, and he's a big name in this one. I'm especially circling him for his upcoming matchup against East Kentwood.

EK's passing offense is near-elite. A QB going to MSU, a really good speed-in-space slot WR, and a couple of deep threats.

Drew is one of Howell's best tacklers and has the ability to play physical man coverage when needed. There will likely be many scenarios where Drew is going to need to crash down on a screen, and scenarios where they target him over the top. Big-time opportunity for Drew, and I'm confident he'll be able to rise to the occasion.

Clarkston has an army of seniors who are willing to do anything in order to advance. [player_tooltip player_id='1686403' first='Cameron' last='Love'] is one of those seniors, and he has an extremely important job this Friday night.

Clarkston's defense needs to force a few stops, and a lot of that is going to fall on the secondary. Grand Blanc may have Michigan's best passing offense, and they do an amazing job of getting the ball out quickly. I've seen it in the offseason- Cameron is able to hold his own in man-to-man coverage against great receivers. Additionally, his tape proves that he can be a rangy zone player.

Grand Blanc has faced some great secondaries this season, but none greater than Clarkston. Love is absolutely going to have opportunities to tip the scales in Clarkston's favor.

Reaves has an excellent opportunity against Cass Tech this weekend.

I got a great look at TJ last week. Loved what I saw regarding TJ's athletic profile, as well as his hands and general ball skills. Defensively, he did a nice job in the run game, and always takes agressive angles to the ballcarrier.

TJ is a ball of talent. Super high upside on both sides of the ball, and I'm excited to see what he shows at safety against the Cass Tech offense. There should be a lot more high-quality pass defense opportunities- can't wait to see what TJ shows in coverage against Cass Tech's WRs.

Last time Stoney Creek and Adams met, Quinn racked up over 10 tackles and 2 PBUs.

Quinn is a player who I think plays better against the best competition. We saw it against Adams- constantly crashed on the run, and not afraid to get physical against Adams' Veer offense. In the pass game, Quinn does a nice job staying disciplined to his zone, and playing on a man when needed. In obvious passing situations, I'm expecting Quinn to show up.
