Drew was a big name in last year’s postseason, and he’s a big name in this one. I’m especially circling him for his upcoming matchup against East Kentwood.

EK’s passing offense is near-elite. A QB going to MSU, a really good speed-in-space slot WR, and a couple of deep threats.

Drew is one of Howell’s best tacklers and has the ability to play physical man coverage when needed. There will likely be many scenarios where Drew is going to need to crash down on a screen, and scenarios where they target him over the top. Big-time opportunity for Drew, and I’m confident he’ll be able to rise to the occasion.

Lynn had a handful of great moments during his Junior season. His highlight tape proves that he was an excellent role player for a state championship contending program.

Drew played solid zone coverage last season. I’m impressed with his instincts- a few of his best plays come while perfectly reading the QB’s eyes. Plus, Drew never seems to do too much. Instead of always trying to make the big play, Drew makes the smart play. For instance, if Drew isn’t in a good position to break up a pass, he instead opts for a quick, hard tackle. A lot of the time, he ends up forcing a drop.

Smart player with good upside!

A potential college prospect this Summer and very likely key player for Howell this coming regular season.

Drew’s playoff highlights showcase his upside. Against Hudsonville, Drew was able to earn a sack and a couple more QB hits blitzing off the blindside. Plus, there’s a good man coverage rep against Hudsonville’s senior WR1 (and a GLIAC commit). The ladder half of his playoff tape shows a few good block sheds and open-field tackles.

Great foundation set in 2024, and one of those guys who could emerge as a true game-changer this year. Also very excited to watch Drew perform at our upcoming Prep Redzone camp!
