We have some Thursday night action coming our way as the Chaparral Firebirds will head to Scottsdale to take on the Norte Dame Prep Saints. Chaparral has started to find their rhythm recently with their victory over Deer Valley, winning 45-21. Meanwhile Notre Dame Prep is riding the high of a very big win for their squad over Horizon, 42-41 in OT. Norte Dame's QB [player_tooltip player_id='1701761' first='Landon' last='Stych'] was a dual threat through air and ground as he had 4 total touchdowns against Horizon, 3 of which were rushing touchdowns. HB Dwayne Decker Haskins-Smith also led the charge on the ground with his 146 rushing yard night. Both of these players also played defensive snaps, combing for a total of 22 tackles between the two of them. Norte Dame Prep's DL [player_tooltip player_id='1399755' first='Nathan' last='Jones'] continues to be a force on the edge with his 9.5 sacks on the season. They will have to contend with the likes of Chaparral's QB Ryan Trocki who is coming off his second varsity start with an excellent game with his 82% completion percentage, 194 passing yards, and 2 passing TDs.
