Week Seven is here, and the playoff picture is starting to take shape. Every game matters as teams fight for seeding, momentum, and in some cases, their postseason hopes. The margin for error is shrinking, and the intensity is rising across the state as region battles heat up. Here are Week Seven's Best Games:

Chaparral (3-3) vs Notre Dame Prep (3-3) (THU)

We have some Thursday night action coming our way as the Chaparral Firebirds will head to Scottsdale to take on the Norte Dame Prep Saints. Chaparral has started to find their rhythm recently with their victory over Deer Valley, winning 45-21. Meanwhile Notre Dame Prep is riding the high of a very big win for their squad over Horizon, 42-41 in OT. Norte Dame's QB [player_tooltip player_id='1701761' first='Landon' last='Stych'] was a dual threat through air and ground as he had 4 total touchdowns against Horizon, 3 of which were rushing touchdowns. HB Dwayne Decker Haskins-Smith also led the charge on the ground with his 146 rushing yard night. Both of these players also played defensive snaps, combing for a total of 22 tackles between the two of them. Norte Dame Prep's DL [player_tooltip player_id='1399755' first='Nathan' last='Jones'] continues to be a force on the edge with his 9.5 sacks on the season. They will have to contend with the likes of Chaparral's QB Ryan Trocki who is coming off his second varsity start with an excellent game with his 82% completion percentage, 194 passing yards, and 2 passing TDs.

Chaparral QB Ryan Trocki

Liberty (5-1) vs Centennial (4-2)

The biggest 6A matchup of the week will come from the Centennial Coyotes playing their regional rival in the Liberty Lions in a Peoria showdown. Centennial was able to bounce back this week with a commanding win over Sandra Day O'Conner, winning 35-7. Liberty continues to roll through all their competition in AZ, beating Mountain Ridge 71-0. WR Marley Chancey led the way for the Lions with his two receiving touchdown receptions along with a sound rushing attack from the Lions featuring backs such as RB [player_tooltip player_id='1419979' first='Esteban' last='Demby-Lamas'], RB Nick Sorce, and RB [player_tooltip player_id='884390' first='Jayden' last='Sanchez']. Centennial offensive output will rely heavily on sophomore sensation TE [player_tooltip player_id='1327540' first='Torrin' last='Hill'] and RB [player_tooltip player_id='412188' first='Owen' last='Reynoso']. This front four for Centennial will be looking to have a monster game led by DT Javier Chacon and DE [player_tooltip player_id='883404' first='Luke' last='Franklin'].

Centennial TE [player_tooltip player_id='1327540' first='Torrin' last='Hill']

Bradshaw Mountain (4-2) vs Lee Williams (5-1)

A pivotal game in the 4A division as the Brashaw Mountain Bears will head to Kingsman to take on the Lee Williams Volunteers. The Bears are on a heater lately, winning their last 3 games including recently beating Flagstaff, 49-6. Lee Williams has also been riding a 3-game win streak, handling Westview 35-10. Both teams feature highly dynamic rushing attacks along with strong defenses in what will be a battle of willpower until the final whistle. Bradshaw Mountain will be looking to its extremely talented back in RB/DB Kylin Jackson, who already has 1,000 rushing yards on the ground through 6 games. He will be contending with a Lee Williams defensive unit led by LB Bryson Vaughn. Lee Williams has dangerous back as well in RB Lucas Leist who also has 1,000 rushing yards on the year along with a talented wideout in WR [player_tooltip player_id='1316194' first='Cooper' last='Cronk']. He will be taking on LB Sebastian Witkowski and LB [player_tooltip player_id='1603443' first='Diego' last='Galaz'] who have a combined over 100 tackles already on the year for Bradshaw.

Lee Williams LB Bryson Vaughn
