Ryan Trocki Ryan Trocki 6'3" | 170 lbs | QB Chaparral | 2029 AZ is one of those “remember this name” guys because he’s doing varsity QB things way before most kids even get a snap. He’s a big-framed freshman with real arm talent. You can see, when he’s throwing with rhythm — outs, quick game, underneath stuff — the feet are calm, the motion is smooth, and the ball comes out clean. When he tries to really let it rip downfield, the mechanics can get a little jumpy (rushed feet, head pulling out early), which is honestly the most normal freshman-quarterback problem imaginable. Even with that, he threw for 912 yards and 11 touchdowns in seven games in 2025, and people are already starting to notice. The exciting part is the runway: if the deep-ball mechanics catch up to the short-game consistency, he’s not just a strong thrower — he’s a quarterback who can stress a defense at every level.

Ryan Trocki Ryan Trocki 6'3" | 170 lbs | QB Chaparral | 2029 AZ looks every bit like a long, high-upside QB — he’s 6’3″ with real room to add weight, and he uses that length to his advantage because the ball comes out with some whip and zip when he turns it loose. What really sells you, though, is the timing and anticipation; the out-breakers look like they’re being thrown to a spot before the receiver even fully snaps his head around, and he’ll layer tight-window throws over the middle with real confidence instead of waiting for guys to be wide open. That’s advanced stuff for a young QB. The next step is pretty obvious: he has to hit the weight room hard, because once he adds strength to that frame, the velocity and durability will climb and his whole game can jump a level — the foundation is already there, now it’s about building the body to match it.

At 6’3” 170 lbs. Trocki has flashed impressive upside and potential through his first five varsity starts. He shows a strong throwing platform and balance in the pocket, maintaining clean footwork throughout his drop to stay in rhythm. Delivers the ball with precision and timing, consistently hitting his spots with good anticipation at the short and intermediate levels. Good zip and velocity on the ball to fit throws into tight windows and throw to the boundary. For a freshman, his pocket composure, mechanics, and confidence stand out, giving him a strong foundation to develop into one of the top young QB’s in his class.
