McCullough has burst onto the scene for Cardinal Ritter and has quickly become a leader for the defense. He's a good athlete with good range and vision in the second level. Friday night he dominated from start to finish. He led the game with 11 tackles and then added a pair of interceptions, a sack, and forced a fumble. McCullough has turned the corner and he looks as good as anyone in the class.

Miller is versatile and has helped add a layer to the Columbus East defense. He's got great eyes and instincts in the backend. He was all over the field on Friday and made play after play. He wasn't afraid to come up and play the run. He finished the night with 12 tackles, 3 TFLs, and a fumble recovery. He's having by far his best year yet when it matters most.

Goyer had arguably his most dominant game of his career on Friday. He only needed the first half to do everything as well. He was in the backfield seemingly every down, getting pressure, creating TFLs, and ruining the game plan. He finished the night with 7 tackles, 6 of them were TFLs, 4 sacks, 3 hurries, forced 1 fumble, and deflected a pass. Again, he did all of that in just the first half.

Posavan is a good athlete who can play sideline to sideline, and his game on Friday is my first impression of him, and it's not hard to like what you see. He was all over the field and was in on seemingly every tackle. He's good in coverage and doesn't get beaten over the top. He'll come downhill and clog gaps. He finished the night with 18.5 tackles and was around the ball every down when the whistle blew.

Burdette is a physical LB who isn't afraid to be in the trenches, down in and down out. He was awesome on Friday in a game where it came down to the very end. A 35-34 road win is always big. Burdette, however, was all over the second level. He led the game in tackles with 14, then added a pair of TFLs, 1 sack, forced, and then recovered a fumble. I was impressed with his motor and think he's someone who could be a good find.
