Twin Lakes Class of 2027 defensive lineman Tate Goyer had a big win over Tipton in Week 7, tallying 9 Tackles, 2 Sacks, 1 Pass Deflection, 1 Int for a TD, two TFLs and one Blocked Kick.

Goyer had arguably his most dominant game of his career on Friday. He only needed the first half to do everything as well. He was in the backfield seemingly every down, getting pressure, creating TFLs, and ruining the game plan. He finished the night with 7 tackles, 6 of them were TFLs, 4 sacks, 3 hurries, forced 1 fumble, and deflected a pass. Again, he did all of that in just the first half.

Goyer is big, he’s mean, and he brings it every snap. He’s got the kind of frame you look for in a true tight end, and while he saw some reps on that side of the ball, his presence on defense was impossible to miss. He racked up 76 tackles and even came away with an interception working from the interior, showing just how active and disruptive he can be. His motor runs hot, and he doesn’t take plays off. Between his size, toughness, and the way he moves for a guy his build, Goyer brings a lot to the table on both sides.

Goyer is a 2-way player with potential on both sides. He’s got a thick build, can withstand his own in the trenches on either side and plays like his hair is on fire. I will always love high-effort guys because you can’t coach that, and Goyer checks that box as well.
