is one of the more well-rounded quarterbacks on this list. He can throw on the move effectively, has great rhythm and timing on the deep ball, and can put mustard on the ball on throws in the short/intermediate game and over the middle of the field. He has good height at 6-foot-3, 175 pounds. He finished last season 203-364 for 2,628 yards and 21 touchdowns.
Dold had a fairly solid first year starting for Twin Lakes and did what he needed to. As his first year started, he certainly got more comfortable later in the year. He’s good in the pocket and throws a nice ball. No awkward throwing motion, and can grip the ball with ease. His 2628 passing yards on 57% completion for 21 TDs were fairly solid and promising as a first-year starter, and I think he has the potential to be the best pocket passer of the class.
Dold wrapped up his first year starting and is spending the offseason making those minor adjustments. He’s a sound pocket passer who won’t kill the defense with his legs, but will get through his reads and find the open man. He’ll stand in there and make a throw knowing he’ll take a shot. His camp throws were money, and he didn’t lose focus. One thing I’m always watching is the guys who take the small drills seriously and stretch like they care, and Dold does. To me, the little things do a long way, and I feel like Dold cares the way he should.
Dold stepped in for Twin Lakes this year and got them 5 wins in his first season. I like Dold because he doesn’t hold the ball. He likes to get it out to his playmakers and let them do the work. He knows where he’s supposed to go with the ball and once his arm catches up to his eyes, could be hard to slow down. He completed 56% of his throws for 2600 yards and 21 TDs this season.
There seems to be a sense of relief with Dold coming down the pipes for Twin Lakes. He’s a good athlete with a good head on his shoulders who tends to see the field fairly well. He’s best in the pocket when he can drop back, go through his progression, step up and fire the ball. He can make some off-platform throws, but keeping his mechanics sound is best for now. He can also stretch out a defense and force them to worry about his legs. If Dold comes out and breaks out for Twin Lakes this year, I wouldn’t be the least shocked.
