It's crazy that we have already had our Power Scores for team rankings for 4 weeks already. This morning we preview the team rankings the power scores have gifted us, superlatives and one of my biggest weeks for disagreements I have had yet with the power scores, and I will tell you why!

#2 Brandon Valley

Every poll across South Dakota has Brandon Valley at the #1 ranked team in 11AAA. They just beat Sioux Falls Lincoln with backup 2027 quarterback Will VanLeur, which should show you despite the starpower that Lincoln has the value that win had. My vote would put them at #1 as you can't deny that Brandon Valley is one of the best teams in the state especially in crunch time and has the best offensive line in the state with Iowa commit [player_tooltip player_id='394729' first='Hudson' last='Parliament'], Moorhead commit [player_tooltip player_id='551462' first='Bryce' last='Bangasser'], amongst others.

#3 Sioux Falls Jefferson

The Cavaliers are another team that I feel slightly overvalued in this week's power scores. Their strength of schedule at this point features does not feature any wins over teams that are above .500 thus far. They have a great opportunity tonight to prove the powers scores right or me wrong, against #4 Harrisburg (5-1) in what is my Game of the Week in 11AAA. It will also be a battle of 2026 RB2 [player_tooltip player_id='848928' first='Daevion' last='Simonsen'] and 2026 RB1 [player_tooltip player_id='1112592' first='Josiah' last='Heinz'], who are both still uncommitted. Been impressed with 2028 quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1646309' first='Boston' last='Bryant'] who has ros up our 2028 board for his play this year.

#4 Harrisburg

Harrisburg has an absoulute gaunlet of a next three games starting tonight on the road at Sioux Falls Jefferson. We will learn a lot about the Tigers over these next three, as they also face Brandon Valley (6-0) and Sioux Falls Lincoln (5-1) to close out the regular season. I'll be intrigued to watch to the battle in the trenches with 2027 OL1 [player_tooltip player_id='1300022' first='Dylan' last='Frederick'] and rising 2027 center [player_tooltip player_id='1321168' first='Easton' last='Dekkers'] tonight.

Other Quick Hitter Disagreements

#5 Sioux Falls O'Gorman

The Knights sit at #5, but yet have high value wins over #4 Harrisburg and #3 Sioux Falls Jefferson. Plus, we have started to see the upside start to rise with 2027 quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1263884' first='Chace' last='Hermanson'], who we have had on our radar since he was a freshmen. It's hard to see with those two wins that O'Gorman sits this low.

#7 Sioux Falls Washington

I find this ranking the biggest disagreement I have. Who did Sioux Falls Washington beat last week? Rapid City Central. Who is ahead of them in the power scores? Rapid City Central. Plus, the week before the Warriors gave #1 Sioux Falls Lincoln all they could handle. They have the best wide receiving core in the state in P4 offered [player_tooltip player_id='402517' first='Dveyoun' last='Bonwell-Witte'], SDSU commit [player_tooltip player_id='563996' first='Jhace' last='Woods'], and D2 offered [player_tooltip player_id='1422284' first='Sam' last='Uhing'], our RB1 in 2027 in [player_tooltip player_id='1300016' first='Brayden' last='Jackson'], and one of the rising 2026 DBs in [player_tooltip player_id='848948' first='Quinton' last='Hall'] amongst others. They get the another team I disagree with their power scoring ranking in #5 Sioux Falls O'Gorman tonight which could be a solid test for the Warriors.

Winless No More in Week 7

The last two winless teams in 11AAA battle eachother for a win this week as Rapid City Stevens (0-6) heads to Howard Wood Field to take on Sioux Falls Roosevelt (0-6). Neither team has shown much offensive firepower and their numbers are similar against common opponents, yet I like the Roughriers to get in the win column. I would certainly be watching for 2028 WR [player_tooltip player_id='1367471' first='Jayden' last='Hanson'] in this game too tonight.

Biggest Sleeper

I already kind of hinted at it earlier, but if I had to take a sleeper this week I am taking it with Sioux Falls Washington against O'Gorman. They have shown they can compete against the perennial powers of 11AAA, so this game could be closer than some think.

Biggest Shifts

Another one that I hinted at earlier in my "disagreements" with the power scores. If Harrisburg wins over Sioux Falls Jefferson, they have to be everyone's #3 ranked team. If Jefferson wins, they prove me wrong and stay as the #3 ranked team in our power scores. Those two fight for #3 and #4, and so will Sioux Falls O'Gorman. Their certainly will be some shifts between those three teams after tonight.
