2028 North Dakota Midseason Check Ins: Session 1

We had a gut feeling our QB1 in the North Dakota 2028 class would have a big sophomore season, but I feel Ryder has even taken the top off of those expectations. A week or so ago, he led 11AAA in passing yards, rushing yards, and was third overall in rushing yards outside of the quarterback position with nearly 1000 total yards already for the Magicians. We were well aware that Ryder had the best arm talent in this ND 2028 class, but man the mobility outside of the pocket he is showing off is moving the needle in my eyes even more as a prospect.     The tape we have thus far from Knoxx is lighter than I thought it would be, but you can see great upside this young man has brewing out of Bismarck Century. He has the eye-catching burst that seems to only get better with more reps and the fluidity in the open field is growing to be more well-versed from start to finish. Knoxx also runs with an authoritive nature and with that upside, is only going to grow from a durability perspective. He is one I hope to have back at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase this winter.     Kale has some hard to miss grit that flies out when you watchc his hands from his midseason tape at left tackle for Minot. I also like the persistent pad-level that he maintains with those hands in drive block opportunties. His first step is also a sizable strength to his tape, as he's usually a step ahead of the opposition in the defensive trenches which causes strong leverage at the point of attack. So far thru six weeks, Kale has given up zero sacks thus far which is outstanding at the 11AAA level.   <a href="https://x.com/KRisbrudt2028">Twitter</a>     Devils Lake has been on a somewhat unexpected tear thus far and in my eyes [player_tooltip player_id='1575838' first='Grady' last='Quam'] has something to do with it, as their defensive trenches is much improved. His pass rush moves have gotten more progressive week by week and his adjustments he's made slowing down the run have also blossomed ahead from camp this summer. He's another 2028 that a big bump up our 2028 rankings is incoming.     There always seems to be something growing in the trenches at West Fargo Sheyenne as [player_tooltip player_id='1714913' first='Ari' last='Keller'] is 2028 propsect that has looked the part thus far on his JV tape. The 6''4 280 pounder has improved with his footwork since I saw him at camp this summer. He also has strength to back up the well-versed frame showing a more imposing first step and quick hands that can drive down into the second level. He is going to be a high riser when our 2028 rankings come out.
