5. Canisius (Last Week, 5)

Canisius picked up an out of state loss this season and despite the belief they should drop out of the top five, they will stay in but move down to #5. Steubenville, sits at 5-2 this season and is one of the best teams in Ohio. The Crusaders in the state of New York, sit at 3-0 on the year, and are undefeated in league play. I like the Canisius team, with guys like [player_tooltip player_id='778700' first='Elijah' last='Kimble'] leading the way. The Crusaders remain on this list simply due to the level of competition they play, which makes losing easier with tougher opponents then most of the state.

4. Rye (Last Week, 4)

Rye remains at four this week following a 6th straight win this season. The Garnets are the team to beat in Section One, and will clinch the one seed in the 1-A playoffs, if they win their final two games against Harrison and Nyack. Coach Garr's squad is led by high power athletes like Sebastian Lewis, [player_tooltip player_id='1529592' first='Henry' last='Shoemaker'], [player_tooltip player_id='1229592' first='Carson' last='Miller'], and Charlie Garnett. These four have propelled the Rye offense to score more than 30 points in 5/6 games this season. Following a win versus Eastchester, they sit at the fourth slot in my power rankings, and the number one team in the Hudson Valley Region.

3. Archbishop Stepinac (Last Week, 3)

Archbishop Stepinac, takes the biggest leap out of the top ten in my Power Rankings. The Crusaders faced back to back early losses to DePaul Catholic, and Chaminade in OT. Since those two losses, the Crusaders have won three straight games against teams like Cardinal Hayes, St. Joseph By the Sea, and Xavier this past weekend. The Crusaders have a major test against St. Anthony's in two weeks in a must see Catholic League Matchup. While the Crusaders sit at 5-2, they have shown so far this season, they are one of the top teams in the Catholic League, and state, propelling them into the top three.

2. CBA-Syracuse (Last Week, 2)

CBA-Syracuse, remains at #2 for a sixth straight week. The Brothers are playing some of the best football in the Syracuse region and average around 50 points per game, while allowing an average of under ten. Despite being a private Catholic school, like their counterparts in Albany, they play a normal section schedule. Don't be fooled by this, as the Brothers are legit. They have a huge matchup this weekend against Liverpool, in what will be the top two teams in my opinion facing off against each other.

1. Iona Prep (Last Week, 1)

Ranking Iona Prep first might actually be disrespectful. The Gaels dismantled [player_tooltip player_id='425629' first='Xavier' last='Bala'], and a solid St. Anthony's offense. In a back and forth game, [player_tooltip player_id='735876' first='Julian' last='Guzman'], [player_tooltip player_id='1624499' first='Joe' last='Wolf'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1001144' first='Crew' last='Davis'], helped the offense put up 50 points against their Catholic League opponent. The Gaels have serious D1 talent on their roster, like [player_tooltip player_id='741078' first='Mamadee' last='Sangaray'], [player_tooltip player_id='735876' first='Julian' last='Guzman'], [player_tooltip player_id='1355476' first='Dilen' last='Mulaj'], and other players across the boards. If there is one team I would not want to face this season, it is the Gaels of Iona Prep.
