Kimble’s a home run hitter. He’s got rare long speed and the ability to run away from guys at the third level. He’s thick and fluid, runs upright, and is more of a north-south guy than twitchy. His speed with his powerful running style is not something you’d see very often. He attacks angles on the edges and when he sticks his foot in the ground is able to make powerful cuts. He’s a strong runner in between the tackles. Kimble is patient at the LOS and follows his blockers. I’d love to see more of him in the receiving game and how he can put stress on a defense in that way.

Kimble’s stats and records continue to rise. He is a 3 time all state selection with this being his first year and a 1st teamer. It’s also his third straight year on the All Catholic and All WNY teams. Elijah had another dominant outing with almost 2,000 yards from scrimmage and 24 scores; including 5 in a losing effort in the league championship game.

For the third consecutive year, Kimble is named All-WNY, All-Catholic and when the All-State team is announced, he will be a 1st team mention there as well. One thing Kimble did this year that he hadn’t done prior is win the Connolly Cup; the trophy awarded to WNY’s top athlete.

Elijah Kimble Elijah Kimble 5'10" | 185 lbs | RB Canisius | 2027 State NY and Canisius fell short against Steubenville (OH), in a 35-34 game. Despite the loss, the top player in the 2027 class had himself a top performance.

While Kimble did not have a touchdown, he had 272 yards, on eighteen carries throughout the game, proving why he is the top RB in 2027.

Elijah Kimble Elijah Kimble 5'10" | 185 lbs | RB Canisius | 2027 State NY is the top player in the 2027 class. He has made a few appearances on this list, and finds himself back on it after a great game in Week Five.

Canisius picked up a massive 56-7 Win against Bishop Timon St. Jude. Kimble was a huge star, with 127 yards on 15 carries, and three touchdowns. He averaged 8.5 yards per carry, and had a long of 45.
