This was a game of two Blanchard Valley Conferenced unbeatens. Though both teams game in sitting at 7-0, this game wouldn't remain in question for long. From the start Liberty Benton threw haymaker after haymaker on their way to a 52-0 win over the Vikings. In this article I'll take a look at 6 Eagles whose play caught my eye.

Seth had a huge game for the Eagles or might I say a huge half. He accounted for 3 receiving touchdowns, an interception, and a fumble recovery just in the first half. He ended the night with 7 catches for 131 yards. Elchert was able to win with power or speed. He showed the ability to catch through contact. The Toledo commit was able to get pretty much whatever he wanted when he wanted it.

Like his twin brother Seth, Zach also had a big game. He ran for 132 yards on 12 carries and touchdowns. He's a patient runner who had an explosive burst to hit the hole. He's a violent runner who was able to put his shoulder down and simply run over defenders on his way to his scores. The defensive side of the ball is where he projects too at the next level. Whether it was between the tackles or running the alleys, he was downhill and violent. Zach is a very talented defender who is going to make some college program very happy.

CJ was a force from the defensive end. He was able to set the edge with a strong bull rush. He plays with heavy hands and sheds well. Barbara is also able to bend and turn the corner when he's able to get to the edge. CJ was forcing the Leipsic QB to get the ball out quickly all night long. CJ has D2 interests and offers.

Connor played both ways. On offense he played quarterback and on defense he lined up at safety. Connor did a great job of running the Eagles offense. He's a quarterback who can hurt you with this arm or his legs. He finished with 179 yards on 10-12 passing for 4 touchdowns and added 70 rushing yards and 1 touchdown on 4 carries. His passes were on point all evening long. He showed the ability to make the timing throws in the short to intermediate game and had nice touch on his deep throws. He had a couple of really nice runs on designed run plays and at least one where a pass play broke down and he tucked it and made a chunk play out of nothing.

Granger played left tackle for the Eagles. He was strong in both the run and pass games. He possesses a good frame and quick feet. In the run game William uses his hands well and has the leg drive to drive defenders off of the line of scrimmage. In the pass he has a strong anchor. I project Granger as an interior offensive line at the college level.

Griffin, a junior receiver didn't have a huge game production wise, but he definitely flashed for me. He had a nice catch on a ball up the sidelines for 26 yards. He showed the ability to get clean releases and has the speed to stretch the field. Karson also had a nice play on punt coverage where he was the first to get down to the returner dropping him for no gain. I'm looking forward to seeing more from Griffin in the future.
