With one last regular season game upcoming this week for some and others starting their first game of playoffs getting started, we wanted to peak at high school football from North Dakota's state capital to see who from each Bismarck High School is a name to watch for at the end of the season and heading into playoffs. The emphasis that we have come to is they love to run the ball in Bismarck across the board as three of these schools feature starpower at the running back positon. What's evident is releasing this list, is the amount of under the radar talent that Bismarck occupies especially with this 2026 class.

Kaden has been the leader up front for the Demons offensive line in his senior season, as their only returning starter amongst the hog mollies. Despite that, the Demons are top five ranked team in 11AAA with one week left and a battle for the best team in Bismarck on Friday against Bismarck Century. The 6'0 285 pounder oddly has been quiet on the recruiting trail, but as I stated is one of my favorite offensive linemen still available that is under 6'1 in the entire Dakotas as Kaden shows off boostering hands, fluid footwork, and the blue collar mentality you want at the next-level

The newest leader in rusihng yards at Bismarck Legacy is our next Bismarck target you need to know heading into the playoffs. The RB1 in this 2026 class is another hidden gem on the recruiting front and boosts all the speed, pull-away seperation, and vision you want your next-level running backs to have. Yusuf shows on tape that he is patient yet twitchy and knows from a timing perspective on when to turn on the gas and agility. I've liked how he finishes in the open field, as you can grasp that Yusuf is constantly instinctive once he reaches that second level. In my honest opinion, this young man is most under the radar 2026 #1 ranked prospect at his postion in the Dakotas.

Noah is another somewhat sleeper in this 2026 class that we have graded as the QB2 in that class and it seems like every week especially in this backhalf of the season, he has progressed well. He's one of the best still available that throws mostly from the run and has a quick release that trends well on all three levels. I also like his running ability once the Patriots get in red zone situations as he jumps out on tape to be quite instinctive with his downhill angles to the end zone and is runs with more authority than you might expect from a quarterback to have. No offers yet for Noah, yet I bet they will come soon as an ideal fit for the D2 or NAIA level.

It's encouraging looking at our Bismarck list this afternoon knowing that both running backs were identified by us at one of the NDSU summer camps both as freshmen, which is the case with [player_tooltip player_id='929960' first='Yusuf' last='Jama'] and our 2027 North Dakota RB1 [player_tooltip player_id='1314732' first='Beckett' last='Price'] of Bismarck St. Mary's. It seems almost every week thus far that Beckett unloads in the Saints rushing attack for 225+ yards and in Week 8, that number was 240 rushing yards on four touchdowns. The burst that Beckett picks up once he sees the open field looming is one of best bursts I have seen from a North Dakota RB since we launched in 2020 and I have watched a lot of running backs. The change of direction that Beckett has elevated over the years has become even more damaging in my eyes in his junior season as his agility is absurdly twitchy. It's been said I know from me, but Beckett surely is one of very few Division 1 grades I have out of Bismarck.

Our third and final Bismarck running back that college coaches need to know out of Bismarck is Shiloh Christian's [player_tooltip player_id='930005' first='Cole' last='McClennen']. One word I would use from the jump to describe Cole from the jump of his tape is hammer and here's why. The amount of fluidity and steam that Cole runs with on every carry is evident when you watch what he has put together this season. Watch him as a blocker, he'll knock the socks off his defender and does the same on the defensive side of the ball at defensive back which is an encourgaging fit for position flexibility for Cole if needed at the next level. His edgy change of direction is also undervalued in my eyes and is one that should have offer to his name but somehow doesn't yet.
