. I have to be getting close to the point where I am running out of ways to describe Beckett’s game and as a prospect that is a great problem to have especially since we are only in February heading into his senior season. A two-time RB MVP at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase, Beckett’s elusiveness is not only the best in North Dakota, but I would make an argument to say he’s the best in the Dakotas with that skillset. He also has the best pull-away finish you will see in the Dakotas in my eyes and I have to say sitting here in mid-February, I am shocked D1 schools haven’t pull the trigger on an offer yet for Beckett.

RB MVP
I knew even prior to our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase that Beckett was probably the best bet to win RB MVP, and he proved our analysis correct in his showing in Aberdeen on Sunday. Beckett showed off an even deeper football IQ in his reps on Sunday, as watching his change of direction and the balance that is constantly shown during individual drills got eye-popping seperation off the linebackers and this happened often. He also has gotten more juice with his accelerator, as he ran a 4.59 40-yard dash was one of the fastest out of the 120+ in attendance. The first team All-State running back from Bismarck St. Mary’s now has his second RB MVP at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase. The NSIC offers have gotten started, but I surely have been consistent that have had a Division I grade on Beckett from the start of his freshmen year. He also placed in all two categories with our new scoreboard with the Universal Speed Rating, as he was third in the 40-yard dash (4.59), and first in pro shuttle (4.25). He is one of the best running backs North Dakota has seen over the last handful of years.

We wrote prior to the Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase, that I felt Beckett was a frontrunner to win RB MVP and he proved us right in his showing in Aberdeen on Sunday at our showcase. Beckett showed off an even deeper football IQ in his reps yesterday, as watching his change of direction and the balance that is constantly shown during individual drills got eye-popping seperation off the linebackers. He also has gotten more juice with his accelerator as I will be intrigued to see where his testing numbers turn out to be. The first team All-State running back at Bismarck St. Mary’s now has his second RB MVP at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase. The NSIC offers have gotten started, but I surely have constantly had a Division I grade on Beckett from the start of his freshmen year. Beckett has already taken home one RB MVP at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase and I will be intrigued if he can get a second one on Sunday. He already holds a couple of the earliest NSIC offers in this 2027 class and I have had a D1 grade on him for a while now as one of the only ones as the moment in this 2027 running back class in North Dakota. He ran for nearly 1600 rushing yards as a junior and is not one you will want to deal with in open space as he’s very twithcy with his change of direction and has a whole lot of speed from start to finish on every run. He was another one that I identified as top prospect at the NDSU camp as a freshmen a couple summers ago already.

It’s encouraging looking at our Bismarck list this afternoon knowing that both running backs were identified by us at one of the NDSU summer camps both as freshmen, which is the case with

of Bismarck St. Mary’s. It seems almost every week thus far that Beckett unloads in the Saints rushing attack for 225+ yards and in Week 8, that number was 240 rushing yards on four touchdowns. The burst that Beckett picks up once he sees the open field looming is one of best bursts I have seen from a North Dakota RB since we launched in 2020 and I have watched a lot of running backs. The change of direction that Beckett has elevated over the years has become even more damaging in my eyes in his junior season as his agility is absurdly twitchy. It’s been said I know from me, but Beckett surely is one of very few Division 1 grades I have out of Bismarck.

Beckett is our certified RB1 in the 2027 class in North Dakota, and had a monster Week 1 with nearly 250 all purpose yards (180+ rushing) which when you do the math, adds up to nearly 14 yards per carry which is a stellar number for a Week 1 performance. You can see the suddenness that Beckett displayed once he reached the second level and in the open field right away on tape. The eluisve is apparent on every Week 1 clip I was able to watch from Beckett as without a doubt he showed off his shifty change of direction which set the tone early in his reps to utilize his vision in the open field into the second level. He got out of tight areas easier than than they should be too, as those quck tosses to outside were eye-opening with his presence around the edges and the open field. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Beckett should be an early offer in this 2027 North Dakota class.

to that mix of top 2027 running backs from the capital city. Beckett was another new name added to my notebook from his camp showing at NDSU a couple weeks back. Recorded a 4.64 in the 40-yard dash and showed off plenty of explosiveness incoming with a 9’5 in the broad jump. All of that is very impressive for this incoming sophomore playing already at 5’10 175 pounds as a prospect that showed off the instinctive movement too up in Fargo. Beckett comes in as RB2 and is one that I am intrigued with the ceiling he has brewing in the coming years. Twitter
