The newest leader in rusihng yards at Bismarck Legacy is our next Bismarck target you need to know heading into the playoffs. The RB1 in this 2026 class is another hidden gem on the recruiting front and boosts all the speed, pull-away seperation, and vision you want your next-level running backs to have. Yusuf shows on tape that he is patient yet twitchy and knows from a timing perspective on when to turn on the gas and agility. I’ve liked how he finishes in the open field, as you can grasp that Yusuf is constantly instinctive once he reaches that second level. In my honest opinion, this young man is most under the radar 2026 #1 ranked prospect at his postion in the Dakotas.

Although he’s our RB1 in the North Dakota 2026 class, Yusuf in my eyes still is flying under the radar on his recruiting trail. He has some of the best vision amongst running backs still available in the Dakotas and it doesn’t take long to tell when he finds the open field his sudden downhill burst amplies to another speed along with watching his strides get longer. He’s also one of the best backs in the Dakotas at getting to the edges with his north-south running ability and offers the fluidity you want in your backfield at the next level. The verified 5’10 190 pounder from Bismarck Legacy just holds one NSIC offer thus far and could be one that adds more after the first three games of his senior year.

Yusuf was another one that was a Prep Redzone Dakotas Combine standout this time in Jamestown last winter as you could back then see the upside that was about to pop off as Yusuf enters our top five overall in North Dakota. The amount of big runs that Yusuf has gotten already this year for the Sabers probably surprises some, but not me as we saw it coming on tape as he has such nice balanced vision, agility, and a very quick sudden burst once he finds the open field especially into the second level. Yusuf was one of our first finds before we even built this 2026 class at the NDSU prospect camp a couple years back, which I will say is one of the hardest camps to standout at in the Midwest and even the country so the rise of this kid I will say, I saw it coming. Bright next-level future for this young man. Plus, you can never go wrong with a running back with an excellent track background and a 37 inch vertical. Twitter

To those that have been with us since last summer, Yusuf first got on my radar at the NDSU prospect camp for his well-versed pass catching, but he has added to those skillsets I saw in the FargoDome at a rapid pace. He showed it off with his broad jumps (high 9’s) at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Combine in December, but the tape doesn’t lie that what we saw him dominate with his explosive footwork, and start to finish durability he has shown with spending a ton of time with developing his frame in the weight room. Yusuf is an example of a swiss-army knife all over the field but his agile instinct he shows off drew me to a future at running back especially with the body type he offers. I will say it early, Yusuf will be a scholarship-level target for sure.

One of the biggest 2026 standouts from my last two camp and showcase evaluations of Bismarck Legacy is running back/athlete

who is one of my favorite skill players in this 2026 class in the city of Bismarck. His burst pops out so quickly in my live evaluation and that matches with what you see on his sophomore tape. Not only does he have the speed, but Yusuf is much more durable after contact than you would expect with his measurables, as it normally takes a herd of tacklers to bring him to the turf. I love what I see so far from Yusuf’s defensive tape, as this kid plays with a ton of range that could translate to a sideline to sideline defensive back as a prospect that has position flexibility on both sides of the ball. Yusuf is a three-way swiss army knife that is one of the top athletes in North Dakota’s 2026 class.

Yusuf was a prospect that I had a gut feeling after last summer at the NDSU camp that this young man was going to be a standout upcoming in the 2026 class, and the Bismarck Legacy running back showed just that on his way to our 1st Team All-Camp Team in Jamestown last weekend. What I saw in Fargo last summer, contributed to his route-running and hands, where as in Jamestown it was the agility Yusuf popped out with in the open field, showing off a RB prospect in the 2026 that is putting all his skillsets together smoothly. He posted a 9’6 broad jump and for a sophomore showed off a great frame at 5’10 180 pounds at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase. You can expect Yusuf will stock-rise into our top 10 overall rankings in the 2026 class in North Dakota after his impressive showing last weekend as this young man I will call out early will be playing on Saturdays.
